There certainly value in keeping him in Rochester. My question is more along the lines of how far in his pro level development is he? I have no idea. I also don't know how much he has played in Vegas.

Me three. I find that as I age I am far less attached emotionally to any sport player. The one exception is based on my attachment to the place more than anything, but the only jerseys I have are home and away Edin Džeko Bosnian National Football team. He captained them to the WC final tournament in 2014 and still is team captain at 35.

With Eichel traded, Samson traded and Risto traded this really is Dahlin's team now. I think this will actually help. I think he runs with it and becomes the stud we hoped he would be. If everything works out in 5 years Dahlin will Captain the Sabres far into the playoff, maybe even the final.

Depends where he is I would think. If he's in Vegas he could get to Seattle easily. If he is somewhere else, probably.

It means that the first round pick has a bit of a condition on it in that if it's top 10 it will not go to the Sabres. It is very unlikely that Vegas will be picking in the top 10 next draft. They will be a playoff team and will likely go pretty far in the playoff again this year. There is a chance that this could be a problem. Not a big chance. The second point means that the Sabres are not agreeing to pay part of John's salary for the remainder of his contract. That's a good point.
