MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!! I assume that the Sabres are the home team. -
A draw today has NC below the line.

Not sure why, but this is the first ting that popped into my head when I saw this thread and read it as ... Wordy After all these years Tina is still a cutie and hottie. Chris kinda got fat.

I know you are, but I would have never pegged you as a 'death metal' fan. Cool. ===== Sultans of Swing is one of my all time favourites. Few may know that Mark's brother Dave played rythem quitar in the early days, including on Sultans. The lyrics are great and really quite funny in places if one knows the background of the band ... they are from Scotland. *way on down south, way on down south ... London town*

The Weather Network up here is all about the drama. Any little thing and they really play it up. You should see the headlines. Any warnings can only be issued by the National Weather Service, but the Weather Network are real drama queens.

The big red rainfall warning thingie near the top. Does if show up when you open the link, or is it in my cache? Let me clear it and let me know what you see. You trust me to click it, eh??!!??

This weekend is designed to be fun for the fans and the players. It's all gimicks, but cool.

Yes. Power stayed on. Just flickered a few times last night. We are right on the Atlantic (literally ... a few feet away) and the temperature stayed warm enough long enough for the precip to be rain. We had a thin layer of ice and a little snow on top. Just a few kms inland things are very bad. Lots of power outages around the whole province. Thank you for your service.

I think he may have been referring to the early Hasek years where the team was talented, but I would say not above average. Without Hasek I doubt they make the playoffs. I'm not counting 1993 when Hasek didn't play much, if I recal correctly, until the playoff and only while Fuhr was hurt. In 1994, 1995 and 1996 they were pretty terrible. In 1997 they were not very talented and very hard working and Hasek was really at the top of his game. 1998 and 1999 speak for themselves. I agree with you those teams were above average by a lot and would have made the playoff without Hasek. I don't think they make the ECF and SCF in 1998 and 1999 without Hasek.

A good friend who is a Rabbi has a great saying that seems to apply here ... there is always someone that will insist on throwing a turd into the punch bowl 😉

Still no ice here in NS. That's all I got.

Still just raining here at the Atlantic Ocean near Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Chicago Blackhawks Sexual Assault Allegations
Sabres Fan in NS replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
I didn't think it was possible, but the Hawks and that jackass have actually managed to make an unspeakably terrible situation even worse. The cherry on top is that the NHL has literally done nothing. -
So far we are still heavy rain right here on the Atlantic (literally) ... we are right at the ocean. A few kilometers inland and it's all iced over and freezing rain. Whatever precipitation will fall it will be all day and overnight with temps falling to below freezing at some point tomorrow and snow. We may be very lucky here on the water to have rain and then a quick change to snow, but all the water standing around (the ground is too frozen to absorb any) will freeze over and be a skating rink tomorrow. I will take that if we don't get 24 hours of freezing rain. Power is holding and that is my biggest concern. Note to self ... NS, look into that damn generator again.
