  1. 2 out of 5 is not bad. Actually, it's quite terrible.
  2. The last time that the Sabres amounted to anything they had Drury and Briere. Both brought in by trade. They were added to young players just coming around ... Roysie, Vansie, Pomsie, Millsie, Campsie, Hanksie and a few savy vets here and there and there you go. Maybe soon (1 more year, I think) the Sabres will see how the kids are doing and will be looking to add the next Drury and Briere? Then again, I am probably just farting into the wind here.
  3. The Sabres don't have a core yet. They are in lets see who developes mode. Of all the players on the roster I would say that only two would not be traded in the normal course of business ... Tuch and Dahlin. Of the players not on the roster I would say the above about two players ... Power and Levi. That's not to say that I expect all the others to be traded, but I would not be surprised if any of the others were traded.
  4. Trudeau has demonized the uncaccinated and called them racists and other not nice things. He has divided the country and has told the vacciated that all their problems are due to the 10% of the population that are not vaccinated. He has mandated vaccinations for federal govenment employees and for federally regulated businesses (banks, post office ...). If you tell someone that they are not going to be able to feed their families unless you get vacccinated that's a problem and your freedom to choose what goes into your body is taken away. The Provinces have done the same thing, but some are starting to remove the mandates for Provincial (including healthcare) employees. That is not the case in Nova Scotia or in Halifax, but that may be changing. We are removing all mandates by March 21st. I will still be wearing my mask in public places like shops. I don't think anyone in Canada that is not vaccinated really cared about the vaccine passort nonsense for movies etc. Those restrictions and passports are being removed.
  5. I would agree with you concerning real communism, as Marx and others taught. The kibbutz system in Israel is a form of real communism. The Soviet system was not only economic, but leadership ideology and everything else in a traditional fascist state. As stated, we need to get away from the fascist = far right line of thinking.
  6. I called Trudeau a fascist wannabe who has grabed more power for him and his government than any PM prior to him. He is not a true fascist yet. My point about Trudeau defending democracy in Ukraine is laughable when he did not do so in his taking tiny steps to infringe on democracy in Canada. Putin is a true fascist in every sense of the word. We all need to foget that far-right was added in the 1930s because they needed something to counter-balance the Soviet version of fascism, which had been labelled Communism for some reason.
  7. I said wannabe. All those examples you sight were not the first step. All I am saying is that Trudeau has stretched his governments powers, if even briefly and who knows how much will just stay in place, but out of sight, in ways that have not been done in 50 years under questionable, at best, grounds. Generally, Canadians are very passive and quite liberal, but a Liberal Prime Minister can and has grabed power more than anyone in the past. He has marginalized a segment of the population during COVID. If you count his black face antics as rasist, which many do, then he has been that. He also runs the country according to polling data, which would probably be the case for any government.
  8. That's fair. I found it interesting that Prime Minister Trudeau used the words *to defend democracy* when announcing sanctions against Russia. It's also something that he rescinded the Emergencies Act yesterday afternoon.
  9. I never had any use for Carlson and think he's a desperate man clinging to a desperate ideology. That said, he hates Trudeau, who is a fascist wannabe with good hair, and that makes him a little bit better in my books.
  10. Like all wars this is about money and power. Putin will not use nukes, because it would assure Russia's obliteration. Russia has been desperate for a port on the Black Sea ever since the fall of the Union. Putin is no different. He wants it and I think the West will give it to him.
  11. @Taro T, why the confusion. Crook is not a good look. I would use Clarksie or something. Anything but Clark Crook.
  12. If I'm the owner I would start using a nickname exclusively.
  13. What a weasel!! That's all.
  14. Okay. What does that have to do with Lefty shooting off his mouth about a certain *Kingdom*. I know he was only partaking in this spectacle for the $. Then he just shut up and take his money. Not that I disagree with his take, but he should just shut up about it.
  15. So, I understand there is some debate about golf being a sport and all, but I will put this in here for safe keeping ... My views on a certain *Kingdom* are pretty well known around here, but come on Lefty ... dude!!
  16. +++++ Hey @The Ghost of Yuri, I demand that you add AST to the title. Just so there is no confusion that is 8:30 PM. And while you are at it you need to add NL time too ... 9:00 PM. Thanks. Everybody else can be on their own and do their own math.
  17. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!! The Habs are showing some spunk lately and have been playing hard. Still the Sabres should beat these guys, but have to come to play. They can't expect an easy win, but I think they know that.
  18. Maybe you are right, but I bet this is a test to see how far someone can take things. I bet all the Western leaders, including Biden, are taking notes and watching closely. There is a lot more to it than this issue, but it is the cherry on top. Trudeau has had more scandals than any PM in my memory. I agree that the Conservatives likely will be no better and may actually be worse. That said, at least they don't have Trudeau leading them.
  19. The protesters where gone before the vote. The police did their jobs (in Ottawa they used what I will call excessive force in many cases) around the country without the Emergency Act. Borders are open. They closed off a small block in Ottawa at Parliament Hill. There was no emergency and there still isn't. Yet the Federal Govenment of Canada now has far reaching powers for another 20 days or so. The precedent has been set. At anytime the Feds can grab more power along the lines of any dictatorship. This has nothing to do with the protestors in Ottawa or anywhere else. The PM forced the issue by making this a confidence vote and told his MPs that they better tow the line or else. Two Liberal MPs did what they did not want to do and voted in favour of this bill. The gutless NDP backed this government as they have done for years in the hopes of them getting little didbits of their platform snuck in here and there. They have no hope of forming a govenment, so this is the next best thing for them. I am planning to do something that I have never done in my whole life ... vote Conservative in the next Federal election. I stand by my statement that the vote last evening ended the darkest day in Canadian history. Just terrible what has become of my country. The laughing stock of the Western world.
  20. Who ?? I just can't keep up with all the kids hanging around these days.
  21. I like it Wook, but it will never work ... I see only 3 $750K guys on your team.
  22. To be clear ... My post in Sauve's thread about the Queen having COVID was to show my great displeasure with Trudeau and his govenment enacting the Emergency Act and how the vote in parliament went yesterday evening. Indeed, a dark day for Canada.
