For all the grief we give Eakin he really seems to be a big part of the Sabres growing into a good team. For all his issues on the ice he is bringing a lot of important things to the team. I would not be surprised if he is not traded at or near the deadline. There. I said it. I know Inky is slobbering all over him these days. Am I right @inkman ??

I tend to agree on Bryson at this stage, but who else do the Sabres have that could play top pairing minutes? No one really. I like Granato ... he sticks up for his players and maybe he sees stuff that we miss? Joker did look pretty good yesterday, but maybe not top pairing good long term.

Joker is playing well, but maybe not well enough to be top pairing. That's the question. I don't really know enough to judge using chats and fancy stats. To me he looked pretty good. Who else do the Sabres have to play top pairing minutes now anyway. No one really.

I think this is the longest GDT all season. At 30 pages the Sabres either did great, or crappy. It's good that they did good.

Okay. I know you have had terrible trama recently and I think it's affecting your posting style. Everything is not great. I don't think I said that. The Sabres are improving and that is all I really wanted this year. I don't think that the playoffs are realistic next year, but I think the Sabres will be playing very meaningful games next March.

I think your phrasing was fine, but posters have the trade deadline on their minds and are all speculating who will be traded for what. To answer your question, many trades will have a negative impact that could very easily set the team back. Based on this and Adams' stated goal for this season I do not think he will be very active at the trade deadline. The team is playing well together now and he will not want to upset that. The offseason will be more active, IMO.

That's fair. Surely, you can see improvement and signs of life. I really think that when both Tuch and Krebs started playing things really started to turn around. Others are really starting to come around too. To me the improvement has been vast, but I know that the Sabres will not be able to sustain that every game. They are not the Avs or the Panthers or Flames, but I feel that if they play their best all round game they can beat anyone in the league.

Yes. The Sabres are vastly improved. John is the better player, but he never played with heart. Tuch and Krebs do.

He'll get 2 games. Book it. The NHL will use his sorry ass to send a message. I say 2 games because it was a star player with a dangerous hit on another star player. Yes. Rasmus is a star in the league and the NHL knows it.
