  1. I know that you did and assumed it was deliberate. Seems that the battle is still raging for some. And .. no. I don't want to revisit this issue. It is pointless for many reasons.
  2. Sure, but it is also time to stop vilifying the ones that you clearly think did not do their part. It's clear at this point that it really doesn't matter that much.
  3. What about the liberties of the people of Ukraine to live in peace.
  4. A message needs to be sent. I agree with Hasek. It should happen, but it won't. It's easier in Europe where there are playoffs being played for WC2022 later this month. The Polish National Team and Football Federation announced that they will not play their playoff against Russia. Russia should be disqualified immediatly, if not sooner, and Poland should qualify by default. The European Football Federation is working on a plan for Sweden versus Ukraine in another playoff. The Champions League final will be played in Paris and not Moscow.
  5. I think he is worth every penny now and always. When he was not playing well he was hurt or coached by an idiot.
  6. @Taro T is the second season ticket holder that paused this season to mention a *reach out* by the team. The other was @spndnchz, I think in the complaints thread.
  7. The flames of Atlanta always made sense. Calgary did have a great fire too, but not quite to the extent of Atlanta, so them keeping the name kind of makes sense. Kind of. The two fires actually happened in the same time frame.
  8. This is one thing that we don't need the NHL to make official.
  9. I was not quite 20 when this came out. I remember all the great dance clubs in Montréal would go nuts when this was playing. Good home grown talent.
  10. I mentioned them yesterday in the new core thread.
  11. 2 out of 5 is not bad. Actually, it's quite terrible.
  12. The last time that the Sabres amounted to anything they had Drury and Briere. Both brought in by trade. They were added to young players just coming around ... Roysie, Vansie, Pomsie, Millsie, Campsie, Hanksie and a few savy vets here and there and there you go. Maybe soon (1 more year, I think) the Sabres will see how the kids are doing and will be looking to add the next Drury and Briere? Then again, I am probably just farting into the wind here.
  13. The Sabres don't have a core yet. They are in lets see who developes mode. Of all the players on the roster I would say that only two would not be traded in the normal course of business ... Tuch and Dahlin. Of the players not on the roster I would say the above about two players ... Power and Levi. That's not to say that I expect all the others to be traded, but I would not be surprised if any of the others were traded.
  14. Trudeau has demonized the uncaccinated and called them racists and other not nice things. He has divided the country and has told the vacciated that all their problems are due to the 10% of the population that are not vaccinated. He has mandated vaccinations for federal govenment employees and for federally regulated businesses (banks, post office ...). If you tell someone that they are not going to be able to feed their families unless you get vacccinated that's a problem and your freedom to choose what goes into your body is taken away. The Provinces have done the same thing, but some are starting to remove the mandates for Provincial (including healthcare) employees. That is not the case in Nova Scotia or in Halifax, but that may be changing. We are removing all mandates by March 21st. I will still be wearing my mask in public places like shops. I don't think anyone in Canada that is not vaccinated really cared about the vaccine passort nonsense for movies etc. Those restrictions and passports are being removed.
  15. I would agree with you concerning real communism, as Marx and others taught. The kibbutz system in Israel is a form of real communism. The Soviet system was not only economic, but leadership ideology and everything else in a traditional fascist state. As stated, we need to get away from the fascist = far right line of thinking.
  16. I called Trudeau a fascist wannabe who has grabed more power for him and his government than any PM prior to him. He is not a true fascist yet. My point about Trudeau defending democracy in Ukraine is laughable when he did not do so in his taking tiny steps to infringe on democracy in Canada. Putin is a true fascist in every sense of the word. We all need to foget that far-right was added in the 1930s because they needed something to counter-balance the Soviet version of fascism, which had been labelled Communism for some reason.
  17. I said wannabe. All those examples you sight were not the first step. All I am saying is that Trudeau has stretched his governments powers, if even briefly and who knows how much will just stay in place, but out of sight, in ways that have not been done in 50 years under questionable, at best, grounds. Generally, Canadians are very passive and quite liberal, but a Liberal Prime Minister can and has grabed power more than anyone in the past. He has marginalized a segment of the population during COVID. If you count his black face antics as rasist, which many do, then he has been that. He also runs the country according to polling data, which would probably be the case for any government.
