What makes football special, at least for me, is the atmosphere at a match in Europe or even in North America where there is significant support like in The Great Satan. Football chants are fantastic and many are a lot of fun. The lesser sides chants are some of the best ever. One of my favourites are for Sunderland (a middling English Club that never really gets anywhere, but they did have a run of about 15 seasons in the EPL recently) ... Of course some of the best and funniest chants are from opposing sides before a huge match. I give you Newcastle supporters chanting down Sunderland ...

I don't know, but it would have to be a high pick to make up for all the lost chances at something that might be okay or tradeable in another situation. I would say top 10, but I can't see a top 10 pick being traded for several lower picks. I would consider something like 7 and 45 for 16, 28 and 41. Depends who the Sabres see at 16 and 28. We traded our top players for those and if we turn them into 2 good players at 16 and 28 it may be worth keeping those picks. but if they could be turned into something even better at say 6 or 7 then you have to do it. Maybe. How's that for a wishy / washy CPA type answer ??

Then you are not watching the game properly, IMO. There are periods of slow build up, but the stamina of the players is the most amazing piece. If you want excitment watch a highlight film of Ibrahimovic. Probably the best pure goal scorer in the history of football.

We have a football club here @LabattBlue. I'm not only a member of that club, but also the President (or something). Anyway, I invite you take a look at the club. You may find some interesting discussions there, but also a lot of ranting about our most loved or hated sides around the world. I don't think that one can casually approach the game. You have to imserse yourself and learn some of the stategies of the game in order to appreciate it better, as @SDS said.

I have very little doubt that both KO and Girgs will be signed before their currect deals expire. They are still important parts of this team.

These series were never the ECF and WCF until that idiot Bettman went all NBA and renamed the conferences to East and West. We had the Preliminary Round then the Quarter-Finals then the Semi-Finals and then the Finals (yes with the s). We had the Campbell Conference and the Prince of Wales Conference, but only after expansion.
