He travelled to Buffalo and Rochester to see his fellow Sabre and Americans fans. To spend time in the Buffalo and area. To attend a Sabre game and Americans game. I don't think someone that was a fan of one player would do all that. I think you are wrong. I think that you are right.

He was a friend of Linus and were from the same town in Sweden. They were tight and he was a fan of Linus and when Linus became a Sabre he became a Sabre fan. He came to Buffalo and Rochester and was universally liked and respected. He had first hand knowlwedge of what went down between the Sabres and Linus and said it was bad. He was not mad that Linus left, but how it happened. He not only left this board. He left the Sabres and Buffalo.

You know life would be a lot easier if words just had one meaning. Actually, I think this is an issue with English only. I speak some different languages, not well any of them, but enough to know that all the words they have have only one meaning.

The Rockies had there best chance to clinch last night. Never ever count out the defending champs and they will not go down without a good fight. Now they get to broil in Tampa. The worst thing the Rockies could do now is basically the equivalent of the idiotic prevent defense in the NFL. They will have a big problem if they start playing not to lose. I think Tampa wins game 6 in OT and the the Rockies win game 7 at home, just like in 2001.

This has always been the way with the Sabres. When ever they were good it was through the draft and adding to that base. 1975, 1999, 2006 that's about it. A bit of a difference was in 2006 when Briere and Drury were aquired and became real core pieces. In 1999 they had Hasek and a bunch of good players that worked hard. In 1975 Punch built the solid foundation through the draft and added key pieces.

Last year he earned an extension that is also team friendly since it was his breakout year. 5 years x $5M is what I would offer him. The max I would do is 6 years x $6M. That way the Sabres have some future flexibilty on the cap while having a good to better than good player under contarct for 6 or 7 years. I think that in 2 years either of those contracts will be a bargain. I do not want Tage, or any other good player, Samsoned. What a mess that situation was. What a disaster.

I find this thread rather disturbing in many ways. I tend to agree with you and I find some of the conversation somewhat off for this type of thread and the subject matter at hand. Never apologize for the way you feel about something being discussed here or anyplace else. They are your feelings and they are as valid as anyone elses.
