Last year he earned an extension that is also team friendly since it was his breakout year. 5 years x $5M is what I would offer him. The max I would do is 6 years x $6M. That way the Sabres have some future flexibilty on the cap while having a good to better than good player under contarct for 6 or 7 years. I think that in 2 years either of those contracts will be a bargain. I do not want Tage, or any other good player, Samsoned. What a mess that situation was. What a disaster.

I am not big on national anthems at sporting or other events that are not nationalistic in nature. That said, I think if you are at a sports bar to watch a sporting event you should pause and be quiet when the anthem is being played / sung. Stand maybe and remove your caps and sing maybe.
