This thread is well worth the price of admission.

I watched most of the third on the small screen. The Sabres looked really good. They played with a lot of intensity and never in Alamo mode. That is not going to be a thing this year. They kept coming even after the Hiney-Stroka no goal that would have deflated them in other years.

@bunomaticis on the tropical island of Vancouver with @dudacek ... maybe they will take the ferry acrost the water to the mighty metropolis. Not sure where @PerreaultForever is, but BC is big. @dudacek ... In the house !! Make us proud ...

I think we will see a rotation of the rookies in and out of the game day lineup. Maybe a veteran or two thrown into the press box depending who is going and who isn't. I think Quinn will sit against Vancouver and Krebs in Seattle. Quinn does need to play more than sit. Sending hin to Rochester really does nothing for his development at this point.

That guy sounds like a little dweeb on the radio, but he knows stuff.

No changes to the winning lineup from last night except for Pilut in for the busted up face guy. Quinn will get his chance again soon enough. I expect Vancouver (0 - 5) to be on fire for their first home game. It will be another good test that the Sabres should pass. They have exceeded my expectations on this trip by beating Calgary. It would be a let down to lose the next two and it should only happen due to lack of effort. The Sabres have played well enough to win all 4 games they have played so far.

Confidence and maturity. The players really believe in themselves as a team. It really shows. They were told all along that they could do it and that they would be given every opportunity to learn and grow. They don't need to be told that now.

He's an *extra* on the ice so I doubt he will play. OTOH ... I like that coach keeps everybody guessing until game time.

Maybe that should be the thread title ? The title is a bit wordy in my opinion. Then show the graphic you posted.

He is very impressive in the first 3 games. Fun and excitment is right. We all thought that he would score goals and assist on others, but what about the other parts of his game? Will he be a good all-round player or more one dimensional. If he continues to play like this as a kid in the NHL he will be getting serious consideration for the Calder.

Vancouver and Seattle are very beatable or should be. Calgary is tough ... very tough. Edmonton seems to bring out the best in the Sabres when that other guy was around who had a chip on his shoulder and all kinds of other stuff going on.
