Florida has a nice team. This is a tough game. -
Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn traded to Sabres

I don't think Zadorov should have been anywhere near an NHL rink last year in normal circumstances. The kid has got miles of talent, and hits like a train. But even in Nolan's tethered and simple approach (the simplest really), Zadorov was pretty undisciplined. I don't think Zadorov was a player you just give away, but there were a lot of warning signs with Zadorov and somebody has to pay a price to develop him. I'm glad the Sabres won't. Let Colorado take a full swing on him. Maybe they hit a homerun. Maybe they fan out. For me, I'm tired of the projects and learning curves. -
I haven't thought of him as a rookie. But, I'm not thinking of him as a vet either. ..................Vookie? Sophomore? not sure.

I don't think Oduya was trying to buy a call. I think Oduya was daring McDavid to touch him. Oduya's a vet. He knew who was coming.
-
You forgot the main reason. It was clearly Oduya's fault. Oduya should only feel happy lucky blessed that Connor McJesus touched him. :P

"Come on in boys. We play hockey, but here's a little story about a Turkish prison."

There really is nothing unusual here. The captain gets a players only meeting every day if he wants it. The room is his. (Actually, I have a buddy coaching who is going to lose his job because a someone higher in his organization insisted on going in the room. The coach told him: "You don't understand %^*^* about hockey, you can't do that." Knowing it would undermine him as coach, with his players.) I think the only weird thing about Gionta's meeting is that he wasn't dressed.

Sanders really reminds me of the Nader campaign in 2000. The difference is that Nader didn't have a mainstream party or the legitimacy of a Senate seat.

The funniest line of the Balloon Rabbit piece: then stunning Pittsburgh 1-0 in the finale on a goal by Brian Gionta, courageously playing through an upper-body injury, and Anders Lindback's 55 saves.- 445 replies

I didn't know we had a chance to get balloon rabbits. I'm not saying I'd choose Eichel over a balloon rabbit, but I've never had a balloon rabbit. They look really nice.- 445 replies

If I can't say anything nice, I'll just say I like Bylsma. It was his handling of lines that I had real questions about. He has surprised me every game. He's a coach.

he played a nice game. I actually think going to Rochester helped relax him. Once you've been sent down and called up, the pressure not to get cut is over.

I don't know. they used to be part of the game with concurrent penalties. I always loved them. Anything that limits the use of the shoot-out is good by me.

One thing that I didn 't expect to see yesterday was Eichel on the Left point of the Power Play. It seems to make sense, he certainly has the recovery speed if he loses the puck, and frankly there isn't a great option on the left point. Lost amid the euphoria with Eichel's goal yesterday was that this is a real coaching move. Get Eichel icetime on the left point. I hadn't seen that coming. It looked like the second unit was: Forwards: Kane, Larsson, Foligno Points: Eichel, Rasmus
