Side note: I hate those AT&T 4G "so 27 seconds" ago commercials. Those two smug ###### in the tailgating commercial need their teeth kicked in.

Left my damn cell phone charger at work. I think. Can't find it at home, had it in work earlier in the week. Thinking I left it plugged it my office. Idiot.

I collect spores, molds and fungus.

Amen. A couple years ago my buddy was working at the Y. Twice in one week he had to clean up vomit, and both times it was nasty. First time this lady threw up on a treadmill - which she never bothered to stop. So the belt whipped the vomit all over the damn place. Second time someone threw up in one of the changing stalls and left without saying anything. Happened ten minutes before closing, so he didn't find it until he was shutting down the joint.

Three-day weekend. Little guy's birthday tomorrow, plus AHL hockey on Sunday. Good weekend on tap.

I wish we had Timmy Ho's in the Cleveland area, and I don't even drink coffee.

This freaking bipolar winter is wreaking havoc on my sinuses. Warm one day, raining, then cold and snowy, then warm again...

Good commercial but a little too long. I was starting to wonder if he just got going and the director said "###### it, he's on a roll, let's see where he takes it." I was wondering the same thing. Anyway my two favs were the Doritos/dog bribing the husband with bags of Doritos in exchange for "seeing nuthing" and of course the Adriana Lima/teleflora commercial.

Agreed. Also true.

No, I don't. But I have enough smug friends and coworkers who "are lifelong, diehard P*ts fans" (read: since NE's first SB victory in 2001) that are brutal, smug and arrogant, so I have an idea of what you are going through. But again, for me - it is the division rival thing that makes the pick easy. I can't root for the team that regularly punches us in the mouth, led by an Uggs-wearing pretty boy, so I have to go with the NYG today. And the obvious rebuttal to that is I can never root for the Pats.
-
The Giants beat the Bills once in the big game. The Patriots regularly kick the Bills ass all over the field. Plus the HC of the P*ts was the DC of the Giants when they beat the Bills. So it's not really a good choice either way, but I'll root for anyone who has a shot to knock Tommy Boy on his backside and deny Mr. Gisele another ring.

I am getting sick and tired of being the go-between at work and having to referee staff issues, clean up others' messes, and help train people who are hired and improperly or poorly trained for jobs that higher than mine. Don't I know it. The guys reffing the high school game before our practice were getting an earful - from parents who were sitting on the same side as the mini mites getting ready to take the ice. Nice example to set for the little ones. I actually like most refs. I know it's a tough, crap job - the ones I don't like are the ones who think that a) this adult C league game is just a step from the NHL and/or b) the ones who think people are there to watch them ref.

I can understand that. I've asked for help on this board and others, but I usually qualify my statements with "I Googled and this was what I found, but..." My issue is with the people who just post ###### like "what date is the All-Star game" when you know damn well that they could have Googled the answer in a lot less time. It's lazy and deserving of mockery.

My complaint: people who say FML. No ofense to the millenial, because I see this on my Facebook page from other younger people and it drives me nuts: "drove all the way into school in a snowstorm only to find class canceled. FML" or dropped my keys in a puddle. FML" Point them to http://lmgtfy.com/ Amen. Not sure if it was me who said that or if I repeated it, but it's the truth. Venting helps the pressure escape.

Meh. Frigging Thursdays.

That's worth $1M from the porn industry.

You guys missed the boat. The jokes were higher up in the thread.

OK, seriously - does anyone really know anything about the "family issues Drew is dealing with?" This is the first I have heard of anything resembling that.
-
Yeah I think I heard that somewhere.

This trade rumor article in the Edmonton Journal mentions the Oilers' interest in Stafford, but contained a nugget I hadn't heard about before (or maybe I missed it): Stafford an Oiler? It's no secret the Oilers have long liked Buffalo Sabres struggling right-winger Drew Stafford. While he could be a second-line fit if the Oilers deal Hemsky at the trade deadline, what could Edmonton give them that would definitely be a top six forward? That's what the Sabres want. Stafford has five goals in his last 42 games (one of those against the Oilers, of course). Nugent-Hopkins, Eberle and Hall are off-limits. Stafford has had some family issues on his plate this sea-son, which hasn't helped things. http://www.edmontonjournal.com/sports/Western+conference/6033623/story.html Anyone enlighten me on the family issues?

That makes two of us. Frigging stripes (no offense, BO).

I don't doubt that one bit. I just want to write FINALLY and move on. Unrelated story: there was a high school game right before my kid's mini-mites practice last week, and as they were coming off the ice the referee tapped Hunter on the head. My kid was so excited about the ref noticing him. I told him that might not be a good thing in the future....
-
Same complaint as someone else upthread: I keep logging on to and refreshing Sabrespace hoping to hear about a move - ANY move - and keep getting nothing.

The "dog days" of winter. This winter has been really strange - snowstorm and a couple days of bitter cold, then a few days of upper 30s and lower 40s, then the cycle repeats.
