Loocheap totally didn't mean it. As evidenced by: 1. Him laughing all the way to the penalty box 2. Being smirky and smug postgame 3. Seeming apologetic since the hit 4. Announcing he didn't feel he would be suspended, before SHAMahan announced it.

I can't imagine what it's like to be a Sabre fan in that environment. Next time, I would be down to go there with ya though!

I should have said, people HAVE BEEN debating the legality of the hit. Boston posters appear to believe it was legal. Some of them even have gone so far as to say Lucic eased up before the hit.

People can debate the legality of the hit, but Lucic gets suspended because: 1. He is a repeat offender 2. It was deemed illegal in some way, otherwise no penalty would have been called 3. It was Ryan Miller, whom the NHL still uses as one of it's top faces of the game 4. It caused an injury 5. The hit has become a huge story. If the NHL is trying to reduce injuries/concussions, a message needs to be sent, and they need to show a commitment to that plan.
