There is quite a different ceiling between Hoffman and Flynn. One was undrafted, the other won the Selke Memorial Trophy and was the QMJHL MVP.

I think a lot of people are all in a huff over nothing. Most of us have moved on after losing Pomm, Vanek, and now Miller (among others), and now we move on from someone who was only in his role for a couple of months. Enough with the conspiracy theories.

Ted Nolan has been offered a three-year contract extension, according to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550. Nolan was hired by the Pat LaFontaine, who just resigned from his post as the president of hockey operations, in mid-November and has been operating under the interim tag. Like you said, we needed to get something. If both players walked in FA, it would have been bad. I think the potential in 2 firsts, a prospect that TM might be high on, plus whatever we might get for Halak and Stewart is an excellent haul compared to getting nothing at all.

Noticed today that these started showing up on eBay already...bids are at $50+ Pretty disappointing to see that people bought a charity item just to flip it for profit. Unless, the sellers are the Buffalo Zoo raising money (doubtful). Surprised that the team hasn't announced to produce more, considering how popular the Otters were and what seems to be a high demand for them...
