  1. Ah, yes. The face you’re making realizing drafting lets says 6th in hopes that one player can immediately fix our middle six needs doesn’t equate to what we could get trading Hughes/top pick would fetch for middle six help. ?
  2. This is what I agree with. From the available information, it seems JBott had limited time and trade partner options, and got the best deal that he could at that moment. There was no way he could foresee what would happen with Berglund, but at least he gave us cap space walking away. We still don’t know what Tage will be end up becoming. I believe the trade for Montour saved face. ROR didn’t appear to want to be here, similar to his situation with the Avs. The Avs, like us, had a lot of young players on the roster, that didn’t need to be permeated with his sour attitude. I’m glad for him that he sour-pussed his way into a situation that is ideal for him. It appears JBott did the best that he could to get the best return that he could, given the restrictions. If ROR was a locker room problem, better to have him away from players like Mitts and Dahlin.
  3. And how much middle-six talent could trading Hughes have brought in?
  4. Fishbone Codd would’ve been better.
  5. It’s going to be another long, painful offseason on this board.
  6. Is it true that the Eichel bobble heads they are giving out have him shooting from the wrong hand?
  7. Again with the trend of opponents scoring in the first minute and last minute of periods. Who is to blame?
  8. Dude, relax.
  9. What moves did HCPH do tonight to overcome them going down in the game early? Were the lines juggled? Was there any timeouts? Were there any goalie changes? I didn’t watch, so I’d like to know what he did.
  10. I think he did good getting Skinner for Pu, and a known commodity in Montour for an unknown commodity.
  11. Congrats to Olofsson.
  12. We have won zero Cups since entering the league. What were you expecting this season?
  13. Knew I could come onto the board after watching this game and see everyone having an absolute mental meltdown.
  14. Considering Orr had 41 in 61, no. Orr 41/61 = .67 points per game. Dahlin 39/73 = .53 points per game.
  15. No. Tage was ahead of Nylander in camp, and still is development-wise. Nylander isn’t going to amount to anything, despite our hopes of the possible shiny diamond becoming a shiny diamond. He’s best used as trade bait for something useful, and hopefully for him it jolts him into relevance elsewhere.
  16. Housley sucks. I don’t care how many times we’ve changed coaches recently. If you have a blown tire on your car, you replace it with a new one. Just because you’ve blown 5 tires in 8 years doesn’t mean you just ride on the flat and hope it somehow magically finds a way to gain air again.
  17. This team sucks. Everyone can waste their breath trying to find a specific reason, but it’s not just one. Blame HCPH, blame the roster, blame ROR, blame Lehner, blame Ryan Miller, blame Drury and Briere leaving, blame Golisano and Pegs, blame GMTM, blame the skate in the crease.
  18. Wow, the posters on this site get super sensitive during a losing streak. It was his first game with new teammates, a new system, a whole new city. I’d like to know how a lot of you did on your first day on a new job. Yeeeesh.
  19. Humans, or Housley?
  20. The 3 of you have made this thread boring.
  21. It’s why we are here posting, isn’t it?
  22. In more important news, Risto is now 6’10
  23. Wrong. Phil never has a solid game plan for every game, and never adjusts. It’s not the players.
