Man I always try not to be to optimistic but all these kids, I expect Savoie and Kulich to be in the nhl after 1 year + maybe 2023 top pick. Add Pat Kane that offseason, the sabres are going to fly on the ice. And with bit of luck Comrie bails us out in the net.

For me we will have 2 guys eating up 20-25 minutes a night. Just get used Dahlin and Power being on the ice last 10 minutes of tight games together a lot 🙂 Can compare to the ducks 2007 winning D Power=Pronger Dahlin=Niedermayer Rest of the ducks winning D was not so great. Beauchemin could eat minutes if needed and score 30 points = Joker O'Donnell = Samuelsson O'Brien = Lubyischkin Dipenta and Huskins Fitgzerald and Bryson.

If the kids progess like I think they will, Zemgus, Hinostroza , Okposo will have played their last year with us. Maybe Okposo stays a year longer. But lets say we add Patrick Kane next offseason.

If you want someone bad on defense but with inflated offensive stats, klingberg is your man. Personally I'm happy with our D this year.

Was thinking pretty much the same Chiarot had some really rough seasons in Montreal, He was on the 3rd pair on a heavy stacked Jets team. He is nothing more than a 3rd pairing Defenseman. Only signing I really liked in Detriot was Kubalik. Perron Is already 34 but at least only 2 a year deal but can still put 50 points.

Also Copp barely had better numbers than our Latvian locomotive prior to last season. Copp is a good bottom 6 forward , but the wings pensil him in as a 2C. Copp 483 82 120 202 <-- 53 point 'breakout' season last year is the big difference between these two. Zemgus 545 71 85 156

Detroit: Andrew Copp, David Perron, Ben Chariot, Dominik Kubalik, Olli Matta, Mark Pysyk, Ville Husso. On other boards I skim over, not a member there though, buffalo fans are complaining we never tried for Copp, but he is a red wings fan, was always going there. Chariot didn't he fall off last couple of seasons ? Maatta is slow as hell, Husso is a question mark. Copp / Perron / Kubalik should strengthen their middle six quite a bit. Ottawa: Alex Debrincat, Claude Giroux, Cam Talbot, Jacob Larsson. I like Debrincat, but will he score 40 without kane ? Giroux and Talbot are on the wrong side of 30 , and Larsson I never liked on D. These teams might be better for 1 year, but after that the sabres will be much better in my mind.

I was on the bandwagon first 2 years, but started to appreciate Samson more than him. Most of all his interviews annoyed me the most.
