I would not give up much for him, 2 years ago maybe but now he fell through the cracks of the NHL. We have room for 3HD at the moment, but I seen ridiculous offers like Casey straight up on other boards. No thanks to trades like that at most they can have 3rd round pick and a lower tier prospect.

Asplund and Samuelsson are two players that will play a good defensive game. I would not mind giving them long term deals after this season.

Only thing I find weird is that this happened 10 months ago and no criminal charge happened. A full rape kit was done even so there should be enough DNA evidence to convict ?

I disagree, I can see both of them getting heavy usage last 10 minutes of a game, can put them together even when behind last 3 minutes.

You would think so but stats showed those 3 together gave up more than they scored. I'm not an advanced stats goeroe but something came out along that line couple weeks ago. Though I do think VO got better defensive its not good enough yet.

Yikes was willing to gamble with our pick 28 on him, but seeing what we drafted I'm glad we didn't.

If you are not putting Tuch there, better have Asplund on that line. Defensive stats are horrible with those 3 together.

I think adams is looking at the cap in the long run. Dahlin if he explodes next year will need 9 mill. Thompson might ask 7 mill. Do we really want to add expensive UFA's on top of that ? We are looking at a young team that will need a lot of new deals in the next 2 years.

Monahan is bad, he has to play for his next contract though, He needs a bottom team that can give him top 6 minutes. But he is so bad he can't get that in buffalo, smart move to go to tank team with room for him at 2C. edit : nevermind they have suzuki and dach as top 6 centers.

I can , over there he has a better chance to prove he can be a middle six center. Here we got Thompson, Cozens, Mittelstadt, Krebs and Asplund that can beat him for a top 9 spot.

Why ? He had similar point production to Zemgus for years until last year. He is a bottom 6 player. The Ottawa rebuild/additions looks much better than the Detroit one.
