How long did it take to upgrade ?

Christian Ehrhoff - nice work if you can get it

I'd sign him again on a 3 year deal. -
You pointed out the stars, but their D is as weak if not weaker than ours. And their goalie situation i wouldn't call better either. As for compher being a piece to much, its probably what got us McGinn in return. Rather have a proven NHL'r than a prospect. Allthough the Lehner trade might be overpayment at the moment, if he is our #1 in 2 yrs with a Stanley cup it will make Murray look like a genious. Our prospect pool was so good and big, people forget in the end 50 contracts is your max and you can't win it with 18-24 yr olds only. I am happy about these trades if we didn't do them we would have to wait atleast 5 years before we take a run or even make the playoffs.

I doubt he gets surpassed by younger players this year already, Baptiste and Bailey are still a season away in doing so. Bottom 6 forward only though, #2 RW is to optimistic for me.

I actually expect alot from Legwand this year, 37 years old and wants a shot at the stanley cup.

I'm not a huge comic follower, but the way I understand it the storyline confused the writers so much they actually had an "event" with the scarlet witch taking away all the powers so they could simplify it all again.

Soccer (Football) ~ Everything About The Beautiful Game

Platini is a weasel, he won't have much support in uefa left anyways. -

O'reilly should provide enough veteran help at center position. Allthough i always liked briere and would love for him to close his career as a sabre. I just don't see the room on this team for him unless we trade a forward or two for LHD help. And I doubt I'm the only one wondering if he even would make the team.
-
Yeah i expect him to be gone by the trade deadline, unless we are doing surprisingly well :p

If Johansson gets 4 mill out of arbitration washington is over the cap. So many teams up to the cap, september will be an interesting month. they are paying Laich 4.75 mill a year, no wonder johansson wants the same deal :p
-
Most logical choice :)

If I'm the Sedins, edler and miller and wanting to win a cup soon, i'd ask for a trade right now :D anyone here who wanted benning as a gm ? :D

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=775799&navid=nhl:topheads Is it me or did the pens just rob the canucks ? sutter and a conditional 3rd round pick for Bonino, clendening and 2nd round pick
-
I guess the reason of signing him is having him come to training camp a year or two earlier than normal for 2nd round picks. Let him check out how the pro's do it. Also means they have alot of faith in the kid.
-
I changed my mind, I say he gets 30 goals, we got 3 good centers who can feed him those now.

I always wondered what his function was , don't think its a huge loss.
-
getting Yandle would be awesome , this is where the RoR deal pays off for us i think.
-
Personally I am wondering if they'll still stick to their rebuild plan, I can't see Lou wanting a tank year.
-
Always thought Erhoff would be a great fit for him :p
-
thx The more I see from this kid the more my initial thoughts about him seem right, the kid seems to be very happy to be in buffalo. He wanted to be here, among all the bottom ten teams i think he wanted to be a sabre. MSG used to be aired on ESPN sport here in belgium, was nice not having to sit behind my computer at 02.00 am to watch a sabres game now and then even if it was in delay.
-
That line would shut down alot of top lines in 2 years. And chip in offensively.
-
Don't think we'll see varone or d'amigo ever with the sabres again.
-
I'm not bummed on missing out on Oduya, he took a paycut and went to dallas over us. besides playing alot of minutes and being a good shut down defensemen for opposing top 6 players. He doesn't do much offensively.
