Fair enough but if Vanek and Pominville wanted to come back at a reasonable price. I'd want them both back.

Wonder if they will suspend Draisatl for that spear.

Personally I don't feel there is a need to fire Murray. The only thing I can fault him is taking on Bogo and his contract. Well Moulson's 5 year deal could have been a year shorter :p

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Huckleberry replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
Just finished watching westworld. Anthony hopkins was great as always. Next season will be made in 2018 if there is going to be a next one, open ending and they could just leave it as is. I Guess with such a cast you can't expect them to do this every year. -
only part of my bracket going well, ana-cgy nas-chi

April 29,2017...draft order is picked by the NHL
Huckleberry replied to Sabre fan's topic in The Aud Club
One thing that simulator doesn't take into account; LV is guaranteed a #4 spot. -
My bracket has them winning in 7 games still looking good

The leafs rebuild has been going on longer than ours. The last 3 drafts with marner, nylander and matthews, pushed Kadri and Bozak down a line. Basically thier bottom 6 is producing and ours is not. And they have been drafted since 2010. Its mainly Girgensons and Ennis, along with Moulson and Deslauriers whom have been dissapointing 5v5.

Update: Sabres sign D Man Viktor Antipin to 1yr ELC
Huckleberry replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
No he wasn't, he was happy to come here, but the way the season went for him I can understand him not wanting to hang around any more. Sometimes you just need to restart your career somewhere else. -
Just read the article and to be honest I want my star player to question the coach and his tactics. A good coach can handle that. Maybe he could use some media training, but calling a 19 year old kid out about that is kind of dumb. And this well, If he did say those things, he didn't say anything different than most on this board.

Also don't expect him to come over and sign 1st of may, that is a socialist holiday in Europe. Like zaitsev last year 3 may will be the earliest. -

GM Tim Murray - Time for a serious conversation
Huckleberry replied to Scottysabres's topic in The Aud Club
Let me state this again, there is no bad contract with Moulson. His buy out is the best in the league. https://www.capfriendly.com/buyout_calculator/matt-moulson This seems off, capgeek had a much lower buyout caphit. -
I'd switch him with Ennis, but yeah makes sense to keep the younger cost controlled ones.

Andersen really didn't look to good on that 2nd and 3rd goal.

Hypothetically, Hischier or Patrick make Reinhart expendable?
Huckleberry replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
He played his first year in the SHL, then played 37 games in AHL 1st year. 2nd year he started in the AHL, but then got called up to the NHL. Our Nylander played his first year in the AHL, but looking at stats alone, I'd say ours is behind his older brother a bit. Then again his older had a more established marlies team to play with. -
Yup I said for a while now, the big difference between us and toronto is their 3rd and 4th line producing. Just like with us those guys were their top 6 the last two years. But our former top 6, Girgensons, moulson, ennis, aren't producing enough 5V5. Edit: to make matters worse, look at the marlies this year, next year you might see Rychel and Kapanen also in the leafs line up. Their forward depth is just much better. Well their forward depth made it to the NHL, we are still waiting on Bailey, Baptiste, Fasching, Carrier to prove they can push out Gionta, Moulson, Ennis, Girgensons from the bottom 6.

You still have to pay that good #2 D as well :p
