Yes he is a good player, but he wasn't the player when he signed that deal. His ELC stats are comparable with Samson, so yes he can sign the same deal. Or you can risk bridging him and him becoming the player Scheifele has become after his ELC years and risk having to sign him to 8x9 or something.

I think KHL is the future for hockey in Europe though, might hard the more traditional countries like , Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and maybe Germany. But the KHL could be a 40 team euro/russian league easy.

Guys we had a luxury in trading O'Reilly. Our center depth is amazing coming up. Eichel - Mittelstadt and short term we got Berglund - Sobotka. Pipeline, Asplund, PU , Malone, Davidson ( this one is supposed to be a real gem) edit: And we still got Samson if needed, most don't see him as center, I still say he brings good possesion stats and just needs wingers that can finish.

Its to silent about this. Has me worried.

I'd still offer him the scheifele deal, 8x6.2 mill .
