Any center we do get would be a player trade. Don' t think we really can add UFA's with our crowded bottom 6. We still haven't really fixed our 2nd line, yes we got Mojo but he has been a 3rd liner everywhere else. And I do like Boyle but we got Larsson already who really is a good 4C.

I like McCabe to, but I think he will be traded.

There is one thing I don't get about offer sheets and the romance about them. Everyone is expecting them to be used to target the Tier 1 guys. Like Marner, Aho hell even Vanek in the past, I think they should be used more to target the Tier below them and hope they get to the Tier 1 level.

I also think some of those deals, like the johnson deal is rather cheap for a player like him. The NTC probably has something to do with protecting them from higher taxes with a new team.

Besides Bjugstad I'm not really wowed by the 2C options. Internal I think Samson is our best shot or Ruotsalainen amazing us all.

A huge part of that is also having the forwards to make smart choices, our forward group is so bad Gardiner might have same stats as Risto playing here.

Trading in a hurry is what got us the O'Reilly return, I like that he is taking his time, letting people know Ristolainen doesn't come cheap. If you want a 2C now it might not be the upgrade you want, I want a 70 point 2C. Ristolainen might get us that, but if no gm wants to give it to us then we might just well start the season with Samson as 2C. Johansson is still an option out there, Dzingel is not a center and I'd avoid him.

i was hoping for at least one UFA signing in the likes of zuccarello , nyquist or johansson. Bit of a snoozefest but JBOT did say he prefered going the trade route.
