Matthews has been ***** all year, Eichel is way ahead of him ? ? ? One thing I love about Eichel, he loves scoring vs the leafs and bruins.

I think its much easier to turn around an NFL team than a hockey team. Easier to shed contracts over a 2 year period is a huge difference. I'm happy with our GM , he has made a lot of moves already, I know its tough waiting for the next one but I'm sure it will come. And if it doesn't I'm sure he has a long enough leash to grab another top prospect instead.

Jenner is at most a 3C - I wouldn't mind adding him and Anderson but its for bottom 6 roles. And you overpay in the Vegas trade. Wood isn't really that good either. If botts makes these trades he would lose my support. You strip our team of any talent behind Eichel and leave us bare.

I just think Botts is working different angles, looking at legit available top 6 like Hall and Gaudreau and also probably kicking tyres on middle six players. The first two might be stalling the trades for anything else, but at one point he'll have to decide.

Well I'm not so much surprised, I remember few years ago I saw a game where they put Girgorenko, Zemgus and angry larry on one line. I loved how they clicked.
