In the end I think Eklund will be the best player in this draft though. The thing I keep thinking is that both Berniers and Powers played on a stacked team in college.

Same, have him play few games next year and trade him then if you still want. To be honest I don't want to trade Jack, but if he doesn't want to be with this team anymore no point in keeping him around.

Guys you don't trade with the expansion team, you just suck up and let them take a player. We are a last place team with 10 draft picks this year and maybe more coming after risto, reinhart and eichel trades. Basically we can become the expansion team torn in the side and come out good by making trades with other teams.

With that type of injury, even with surgery, I question his mobility and if he can still play at some intensity ( not shy away from checks). Maybe its best to trade him for the best return possible.

I'm expecting Zegras or byfield back, so there is your 1C with cozens and casey also.

If eichel is gone and we get Zegras or Byfield in return then I just draft Power. Just imagine having him and Dhalin anchor a line and be on the ice together last two minutes of tight games. And if we trade Eichel I'm expecting a 2021 1st in return anyway to draft another forward. So no I don't trade down unless Francis likes Skinner.

Trade Eichel to Anaheim for Zegras and 2021 1st. Zegras = Briere Berniers/Cozens= Drury Casey = Roy Plan parade.

We will see how it goes - this number 1 pick is great. And if Eichel gets traded to Anaheim or Samson to columbus we can still add Forward talent.
