I remember last year comments came out about Casey showing some leadership in the locker room. Back then I didn't think much about it, but really with older guys like Eichel and Reinhart there , maybe its good we ship these guys off.

He doesn't need surgery - ***** been playing pick up games for weeks now and sabres probably found out he did. The surgery doesn't hurt his value as much as this next thing that comes out.

I like it , we need guys to protect our kids. We might not have high end veteran skill guys up front, but we need guys to protect them so they don't get bullied around.

They know each other really well, and are from same town so I get that.

For me depends on Eichel's return. He is doing what GMTM should have done, don't sell assets, give the kids playing time and be patient. Get on of the big 3 next year + top 6 C prospect Zegras/krebs you get back in trade.

They should just give it to him for playing for us 🙂

I think some teams that missed out will be looking at Eichel looking to make a splash. Rangers been pretty quiet to be honest, but I'm not really interested in sending him there anymore. Still hoping for Anaheim or Vegas.
