Maybe because we play Pittsburg in a few days and Kruger wants him to play against Malkin (if he is in lineup) so the kid feels more comfortable in opening game. Just a guess
A lot will depend on how well Skinner plays with someone other than Jack. If Skinner is a dud on his own, that's going to be a bummer, even if Goalofsson kills it
Any news on when Montour will be back? Even with a couple of major injuries, we still are putting out a pretty good defensive squad. The addition of Miller was really nice. Casey Nelson has been a real pleasant surprise. He got better every year in the organization. Not great, but a good player to plug in there when needed.
The only way I can see him possibly getting in the line up is if both Mitts and Tage get sent down to get a lot of ice time. But even then I think I'd want Lazar in the line up. It would not surprise me if he just sits from now on, though.
Skinner makes things happen by himself in many instances. I like putting him out there with guys who will tilt the ice so he Skinner has more opportunities to create scoring chances. Johansson seems to fit that bill, while OK is a good player along the boards.
I'm open to trying anything.
I'd like to give Skinner-Johansson-Okposo a try to see if it works, but would be ready to pull the plug on it if it is not a serious scoring threat regularly. But I like that top line together
Colin Miller looks like a nice upgrade on D.
Lazar plays a heavy game, will be interesting to see what happens with him
Cozens was not the same tonight
Jokihru has not impressed, sad to say.
