  1. Hutton was diagnosed with convergence insufficiency during the 2019-20 season, a condition where his eyes do not move at the same time. He soldiered on with the ailment. His stats (.898 save percentage, 3.18 goals-against average) suffered. “It’s good. It’s good now. I worked out a lot of stuff during the year,” said the former Thunder Bay Golden Hawks and Fort William North Stars goalie. “For a few months there I really struggled, it was disheartening. I worked with a few specialists in Buffalo, just around North America that helped me. Got to the root of the problem. From there it gave me the tools to improve. I thought by the end of January I was back to normal.” Ullmark, for now, seems to have the inside track on the No. 1goaltender job in Buffalo. Hutton is looking to have a say in the matter. https://www.chroniclejournal.com/sports/local_sports/hutton-sabres-look-ahead/article_d44f7a8e-d976-11ea-a496-2f1df858574b.html “Having that three-year contract was the first time I’ve ever had a three-year contract and some security, so obviously that was nice,” Hutton said. “At the end of the day I’ve played under these circumstances a lot — the pressure of contract years. The business side that comes with it. I’m looking forward to controlling what I can control. There’s lots of things that go one with the business of hockey. I can control how I prepare and be ready to play. The rest will take care of itself.” Buffalo head coach Ralph Kreuger retained his job with the Sabres. It’ll be his second year at the helm. He’s part of the new breed of bench bosses in the NHL. “I think today’s day and age players are a little difference than back in the day where it was a little more hard knocks,” said Hutton. “The culture and different sensitivity of things. Ralph does a good job of managing all different ages of players and different cultures. He’s an unbelievable guy with his hockey knowledge and his room presence is awesome. He’s a guy I think we can definitely grow under here in Buffalo.”
  2. I had to loo’ it up myself, I was going to make a joke that he won the Calder but saw he was coach of Lightening in 2004.
  3. 2004 with Bolts
  4. Must be tough to watch that Leafs team knowing how much they paid for all that talent and then they can’t score a goal in a deciding playoff game. Thunk! Wow, what a disaster.
  5. This really helped. I tighten my stomach muscles whenever my back starts getting tired. Thanks :)
  6. Victor Hedman out, Tampa is screwed
  7. Flyers look real good
  8. And yesterday was “Bring out your dead” day with all the eliminations, cough cough Crosby
  9. From the Buffalo News article yesterday During the recent interview, Dahlin also revealed he now weighs approximately 205 pounds – the Sabres had him listed at 193 pounds this season – and works out five days a week in Frolunda, the city in which he starred before he was drafted first overall in 2018. Before the mass firings in the Sabres’ hockey operations, former General Manager Jason Botterill told reporters in May that adding strength will allow Dahlin to play more minutes. Dahlin averaged 19 minutes, 18 seconds per game this season – a decrease of almost two minutes from his rookie year.
  10. Why did the NHL choose polytheism?
  11. They are not dead yet!
  12. Is this the end of the Crosby Malkin era? 1-0 Montreal!!!! Byron with another great play
  13. I turn the Leafs game off after it was 3-0. was pretty surprised to find out what happened! Wow.
  14. McNab with a great play on go ahead goal
  15. I've been doing this sprint 4 mile ride, just to do a hard ride. Takes me 17 minutes, but Ive been cutting time off. Thought about it, that's more than a four minute mile. So those running a four minute mile could pass me! That's crazy, as I feel I'm flying, can't imagine someone running past me at that time.
  16. I have no problem with that goal
  17. I like it when the Bruins are losing. Go Bolts!
  18. No Chris Rock fans? sad
  19. Fun having hockey back.
  20. Bobroski played bad game. You can’t have bad goaltending and beat the Islanders
  21. Florida Islanders game pretty intense
  22. Why is that? Asking for for a friend ?
  23. The play by play is off on the NBC Dallas Knights game, weird
  24. I'm not trying to be difficult, but "All players know you don't take a skate off the ice..." huh? He stopped with one skate and was pivoting around. The announcer says he is guilty whether he did it on purpose or not? That's silly. I do not see any kicking at all. I see two guys changing direction really quickly and manuvering to get back in play. You can stop on one skate to swing around easier, if that makes sense. If I had to make the call on this one I'd say no dirty play.
  25. I want more info before I decide if the hit was dirty. We don’t even know the injury. It looks like he twisted his ankle or knee. What does that have to do with an attempted cut? How would you cut someone’s tendon when the skates protect that area, as do the shin pads. I can maybe see that he tried to kick his ankle, but it was such a bang bang play, I just don’t see it.
