  1. I thought we were sunk in this game, Roloson did not impress me at all during regular season. Sabres played a great game. I wish ash we had a Mike Peca on this team now. How they screwed up his contract was so unacceptable. Shameful
  2. If it’s anything, it’s about Skinner. Botts gave him 72 million or something and Ralph hates him. What else could it be?
  3. Grant Ledyard played for 18 years and nine different teams. He’s now the head coach of the Buffalo Jr Sabres. I looked him up because he really roughed up Stu Barnes “last night.” Was surprised to see him playing for Boston.
  4. If the pick isn’t that high, maybe we trade for an above average goalie
  5. This is cool, 1999 on TV now! Be glad to see that group again. Here's the complete schedule: Monday – East quarterfinals Game 4 (April 27, 1999): The Sabres' 4-3 win over Ottawa completes a stunning series sweep over the East's No. 2 seed. Tuesday – East semifinals Game 4 (May 14, 1999): Dominik Hasek makes 24 saves in a 3-0 win over Boston that gives the Sabres a 3-1 series lead. Wednesday – East semifinals Game 6 (May 18, 1999): Curtis Brown scores the game-winner in a 3-2 victory over Boston that wraps up the series. Thursday, April 30 – East finals Game 1 (May 23, 1999): Dwayne Roloson makes 28 saves in place of an injured Hasek as the Sabres get the jump with a 5-4 win at Toronto. Friday, May 1 – East finals Game 3 (May 27, 1999): Hasek makes 24 saves in a 4-2 victory that gives the Sabres a 2-1 lead over the Leafs. Monday, May 4 – East finals Game 4 (May 29, 1999): Geoff Sanderson scores two goals and longtime TV analyst Rob Ray scores a memorable tip-in goal in a 5-2 victory over the Leafs to give the Sabres a 3-1 series lead. Tuesday, May 5 – East finals Game 5 (May 31, 1999): Erik Rasmussen's third-period goal snaps a tie and holds up as the game-winner as the Sabres post a 4-2 victory in Toronto to advance to the Cup final for the first time in 24 years. Wednesday, May 6 – Stanley Cup final Game 1 (June 8, 1999): Jason Woolley scores on "the shot heard 'round the hockey world" as the Sabres post a 3-2 overtime victory in Dallas' Reunion Arena. Thursday, May 7 – Stanley Cup final Game 4 (June 15, 1999): Dixon Ward scores the game-winning goal as the Sabres hold off the Stars, 2-1, to even the series at two wins apiece. Friday, May 8 – Stanley Cup final Game 6 (June 19, 1999): The 2-1 triple-overtime loss that stands alone as a gut-punch in franchise history for the way it ended the Sabres' Cup dreams two wins shy of a championship.
  6. Lazar is a good player, and his face off skills get us points out of OT. Asplund is a potential player at this point
  7. Not my first, but close: Posted February 25, 2006 I remember that game clearly. Espisito was there and Gretz hadn't scored in a few games, nor did he in first and second period but Richie Dunn lost the puck and Wanye went in on Edwards--not Sauve mind you!--and scored. I think they stopped the game for awhile. I friend of mine wrote a poem about that the next day. We were in 8th grade Ya, that was an exciting time to be a Sabres fan! But its even better now!
  8. Sabres’ Eichel says head coach Ralph Krueger is ‘somebody that I look up to’ ★ ‘“His demeanour, the way that he handles himself in the locker room in front of everyone everyday,” Eichel said. “He’s somebody that I look up to a lot as a role model for leadership. There’s such a great respect there and I think that it’s mutual between the two of us.”’
  9. Thanks for posting that, it was great. Jay McKee saying they might have to cut off his leg and his reaction is, "Can I play tonight?" lol Love that team!
  10. Max! Jack should watch Brier on the PP, the way he moves around to create holes in the PK
  11. The month this game was played I started learning how to skate. Have been playing ice hockey ever since. These games always take me back to what I was doing when they were played.
  12. Did Chris Drury ever smile? This is about the best he ever managed. I Always thought there was something dark about him and then it hit me last night that he never really showed much happiness or joy. Loved him as a hockey player but just thought there was something strange about him
  13. How about Miller? Would he come back for a year?
  14. Pyatt looks like a baby elephant out there, lol Drury!!! He was so great
  15. I'd have to say no. But! If they take Jeff Skinner and his whole contract, yes
  16. Teppo was so good. I think Dahlin will be a better version of Teppo, who we had very late in his career. Kalinin was really good, but he just never took it to the next level.
  17. Jochen still seeing that one in his nightmares, lol
