I like their strategy of picking highly talented people that might turn out to be superstars. The size doesn’t bother me, this is a fast league. I wonder how much Granato has had a role in picking players. These small fast players seem to fit his style of constant motion and north south skating.

We have forwards to score goals, perhaps lots of them. We need defensive depth and we could possibly get it in trade or free agency, and we need goaltenders. But ya, there is talent enough to move forward. Wont be easy, but I could see it come together

As long as the defenseman is signed longer term, I'd be happy. Maybe try and get another pick out of them, but I'd be happy with that return

I’d take Jake Allen off their hands, no problem. But there would have to be a lot more

Low expectations are not a bad thing for the fan base. But I don’t think things are so bad. We scored goals without Jack in line up last year. The kids stepped up and scored. The ATM line is nice. Getting Okposo back with Girgs will be another good line, put Borque with them? Then there’s still Skinner, R2 Ollie Cozens and spare parts, but not bad really. Lack of defensive depth could be a real killer but that can hopefully be addressed in Jack trade or free agency. And the goaltending...the biggest question mark.

There has to be some immediate help though. A good NHL defenseman, perhaps a goalie who could play now, and after that I'm cool with pulling in draft picks, first and second rounders.

I kind of like our forward group. ATM line is so fun to watch and they put up points: Mitts Tage Asplund Putting the checking line of Girgs, Okposo and Bjork? together, that could be good again. Olofsson, Skinner R2 Cozens can all score goals. This is not a bad group at all. If we keep Jack it’s even better.
