Dying on a bike would be bad, but what really worried me was becoming paralyzed. That just terrifies me.

I now believe it’s crazy to ride a motorcycle. You are putting your life into the hands of reckless drivers

I must drive an invisible car. I always have people just pulling right out in front of me as I’m driving down the road. It’s crazy. People just pull out into traffic without looking.

Yes, I think Tage will be better. His tall body standing in front of net, (Like Andreychuck?) would be interesting. The PP is a going to be interesting, too. Maybe Butcher makes the cut for his ability to generate points there?
-
Tage is a big tall guy who plays hockey pretty well. Not expecting him to be Mario Lemiexu but if he is putting up 15-20 goals on the third line that’s great. His long reach make him a good back checker, IMO. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him someday hit 25 goals

A moderate improvement might be fine with them if there is scoring from other players. They have forwards capable of hitting 20 goals. Skinner? Maybe. Oloffson, ya, probably. R2 looks like a sniper, Bjork showed offensive skills, Asplund was on an almost 20 goal pace, If Girgs and Okopso score 10 each then we might be able to light the red light enough to win some games.

I have them at over half a goal (.6) a game better under Granato. That’s improvement It’s also minus Jack.
-
Haven’t the younger guys already shown they have improved? Those stats you showed don’t reflect the uptick in scoring that happened with the coaching change. Does anyone have numbers on percentage of goals scored under both coaches? I’d be shocked if it wasn’t at least a goal per game more. And that’s with no Jack in line up.

You NEVER have enough decent defensemen. (Assuming we have a chance to win games this year)
-
Might be six or more players that get 20 plus goals. That’s going to be good. I really like the forwards and think they really could be a scoring by committee group. Slot Jack back into line up as just another player and roll with this group as it gets better. ATM line will be facing tougher opposition, and that will be a problem. I totally get that they as a group might flop, but I also believe they fit Donny G’s fast moving style. Not having good goaltending is really going to hurt, though. It will just put more pressure on forwards to produce, and they will get blamed (unjustly) if they can’t compensate for bad goaltending Im also interested on how the PP will be set up. Casey, Ollie and Dahlin for sure, but who else?

Right

I hear Cater Hutton is blaming them, too! They refused to allow him to get eye replacement surgery What if they hired way, way better people?

Because the Sabres will sue his butt?

Assuming No Deal, Do You Expect Jack To Show Up To Camp?

I bet they take the C off him -
Trade Jack for a player at the most important position? They’d have to toss a little more in, though and the goalie would have to be signed for awhile, good and want to play here.

And Hall!

OT: How Many Pages Will the Eichel Trade Thread Reach?

Just heard a rumor on Instigators. So I’ll pass it along and add my own totally speculative thoughts. A ‘NHL source’ said that Boston was calling KA every two weeks about Jack. That sounds unrealistic. I’d swap them Jack for Charlie MacAvoy and a goalie but doubt that happens. I recall that KA was trying to get a goalie out of Boston when he traded Hall, but Boston would not budge. Which is curious, if Boston liked their young goalies so much why sign Linus? With Rask that gives them four NHL goalies. Did they do that to screw with us and make us want to make a deal for Jack? Sounds too crazy to be true.

Yes, something has to give. I really think holding him, gettin* him in the lineup and showcasing him adds to his value. But there is risk there too. He can decline a trade next year, right? I wouldn’t be surprised if he just plays the next five years here. This situation is so messed up -
All true but, the emergence of the ATM line helps replace some of that, as does the addition of R2 and Borque, Girgs is coming back and they seemed to have covered for Risto leaving, but we will see on that front. Plus there is Jack. He might play for us still or landus something valuable to line up. If we we can get this goalie situation fixed the team has a chance to be good, IMO.

And do you want him back? Will he be the captain? And if he is here, does your opinion of this being a tank year change?
