  1. Sure sounds like they are planning on him starting https://www.audacy.com/wgr550/sports/sabres/ukko-pekka-luukkonen-has-been-putting-work-in-this-summer
  2. Can he just blow us off by not signing an entry level contract? Didn’t another goalie stay in college on us? If goalies don’t really play until they are 23 or so anyway, maybe he just stays in college? Would that not also apply to the Michigan St goalie we own the rights to? Butcher and Jimmy Vessy was like that too, I believe. Hope on wrong on this
  3. I don't know. In the games we won under Don G the goalies were not asked to do much. Houser, Toker and UPL won games, made a lot of saves but didn't see a lot of high quality shots, imo. I thought it was a "The best defense is a good offense" strategy. Will be nice to see that for a whole season (I hope)
  4. https://buffalonews.com/sports/sabres/how-sabres-prospect-devon-levi-developed-into-a-record-setting-goalie/article_407e4f2c-0668-11ec-9de6-b3a9e6042a61.html
  5. Yup!
  6. And now he is off to win the Conn Smyth trophy for the Coyotes 😇
  7. But at least we “stole” Carter Hutton away from the Blues! oh, is that a third loss for us?
  8. Donate seems like a good coach based on last season. Maybe they even land a goalie through trade or off of waivers.
  9. No, Im not putting out much of an effort here to just say you are wrong. I’d take Enroth and Neurvirth in their prime right now over what we might have to start the season with now. #easy, easy
  10. He's our co-starter at best.
  11. They were fine goalies. We actually had to trade Neuvirth away to ensure the tank (if memory serves) Not sure it was the mindset. More likely it was all that the market had to offer.
  12. So our starting goalie will be in the prospect game? Yikes
  13. Just two weeks from now??? There is a reason to live after all!! Yes!
  14. The defense on this team is light years ahead of those 2014 and 2015 teams. Remember Maszaros? How about Benoit? Josh Gorgers? If we had the goaltending now that those teams had, we might very well be competing for a playoff spot this year. But we do not. The calls to rip the whole team apart and to trade everyone for the sugar high will be great this year because the goaltending will probably be awful and the skaters will get blamed for it.
  15. I do not agree. First off, Jack (real or potential trade value) is the number one forward. And Casey is only number 1 because he looked so good last season. But Casey is joined by a whole group of forwards that do not rank as super stars but are talented. None of that will matter, in all likelihood, because of the goaltending.
  16. The team is not the worst in the league, the goaltending is THE issue. And there is not a surplus of even decent goalies in the league. Carter Hutton is still in the NHL, that says a lot
  17. What better goalies? There is a quality goalie shortage at the moment.
  18. Everything about this situation is clouded in darkness. Like what the heck was Jack's original injury? He was hurt and not playing well all season, from what we were told, anyway. Then the neck injury, the "disconnect" press conference to being actively shopped.
  19. Japan surrendered on this day in 1945
  20. Nice to at least have so options
  21. I'll believe that when I see it
  22. Don’t disagree with you, but Jacks situation was also different with long contract, higher value and of course the injury. Still he should of kept quiet. What’s wrong with blind fandom?
  23. Were any sea monsters present?
