  1. I think when Ullmark did not come out for the second period against the Devils we were winning that game
  2. No video from you?? lol Skinner is a mess. How'd he miss that pass?
  3. Only reason I brought that up is because I don't think Jack or Skinner are tradable. Big salaries and low performance for both. And Hall is just a rental player to another team, so the return won't be super, I'd imagine.
  4. I guess he doesn't want to dump on the goalies? And it's his fault, not Ralph's that we didn't get a decent upgrade in the off season. I don't know what the issues or options were, but for whatever reason we came into the season with Carton Hutton holding a large part of our fortunes in his hands.
  5. I get what you are saying, but after the tank, I am 100% done with hoping for any failure. I doubt they will win, but I’m not hoping they lose. A win would be so nice, though.
  6. Me too. If price was right. Probably hard to trade a prospect at deadline though, unless it’s part of bigger deal.
  7. It would be a foolish move for Adams to fire RK right now. The new coach would come in and be another loser. You can’t win with the goaltending they have now. Adams of course would be the next target of the media and the fans that want to fire people. Try and ride the season out, get some help in goal at the trade deadline, try and figure out how to get more 5x5 scoring and improve over the off season If Adams does fire RK, it should be at end of season so a new coach can come in and have time to make the team in his own mold.
  8. I like Ullmark but he needs a back up or someone there to play if he is injured. They are a bubble team with h8. In net, and I’d imagine with any decent goaltender in net. First priority by far should be getting another goalie. They are 1-8 with the other goalies playing. As to the scoring? That’s a lot harder to fix. We have Hall, Jack and Jeff. They are suppose to score but are not. How many goals between the three of them? How do you propose to fix them? Fire the coach? Fine, but the new coach will still have decide who to start in goal, Hutton or JJ. Good luck with that!
  9. I agree that if we improve the goaltending we move up to a bubble team. Yes. And then we go from there. It’s the first step needed. Without doing that we stay a bottom dweller. Better goaltending makes the whole team better and gives it breathing space to improve. Jack, Jeff and the rest actually need to score, also. The biggest immediate jump-this team can take is with better goaltending. It’s the most fixable thing on the team. How you fix Jeff and Jack, well, I have no idea.
  10. Lots of rumors out there about Jack and others moving. I don’t want to see that happen myself but we should take advantage of the fact we are not going to playoffs and have players that can help other teams. I would be shopping for a solid goalie. Though I would hate to lose Risto or Olofsson they might be our best assets to move to get a solid goaltender who will be around a few years.
  11. But the trend was upward. He was playing very well before the injury, so those numbers could very easily of changed for the better had he played more. He started slowly after the long off season but was coming 9n and looked really good before he was injured. Linus was providing room for the team to get better and stay in the hunt, but the other goalies are just terrible. This team isn’t as bad as their record indicates. Improve the goaltending to start and things can quickly turn around.
  12. With Ullmark in net the team has a winning record. With the other goalies they are a combined 1-8
  13. Not getting goaltender in the off season was rather big mistake
  14. No teams score that many goals a game https://www.espn.com/nhl/statistics/team/_/stat/scoring/sort/avgGoals Hey I hear ya, we do need more scoring, but not having a guy to stop the puck just ruins a team. All good teams have good goaltending. And once you give up a goal the other teams--like the Islanders--just clamp down and shut the door. And we start giving up more chances to get back into it and our goalie surrenders another soft goal.
  15. Can't win if you can't stop a shot and your team will fall apart in front of you. That's what is happening
  16. Totally disagree. It is a problem, but goaltending is a bigger problem
  17. The other teams always look so happy playing against us
