Do you think Doug is a political prisoner?

I'm actually excited for this Sabres season, no expectations

Wo ist dis faith in Dell coming from??? I’m mean I hope you are right but it seems like you dreamed it last night and report it here now, lol If the goaltending is a disaster this year, is there any reason that next season it won’t be also? So ya, I’m already worried about next season which is, I admit, pathetic, but there it is -
I’ll look at that as a positive, because if he does play that much it will be in part because he hasnt flopped as a pro.

I’ll be happy to see them playing again but I am full of apprehension. I’m worried that bad goaltending will be blamed on, take your pick: The coach sucks, there is no talent at all on this team, fire sale time, Dahlin is a bust, or that we are not tough enough, and Kim Pegula is betting in Vegas against us. -
Opening day starter?

There won’t be much of a turn around if the goaltending is terrible. Hopefully it’s better than most of us are expecting

Dylan Cozens received a text from Casey Mittelstadt in July, after the Tampa Bay Lightning captured its second straight Stanley Cup championship. The message: We need one of those. "We all have that vision, and we all believe that it can come true," Cozens said Friday. "We're just going to do what we can every day to get better and better and hopefully reach that point one day." https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-training-camp-notebook-dylan-cozens-casey-mittelstadt/c-326321698

Notes: Center Jack Quinn, the eighth overall pick last year, practiced Friday at LECOM Harborcenter after missing Thursday’s opening session. The Sabres have been trying to ease Quinn into the new season after he underwent hernia surgery in April. … Dahlin said he texted Owen Power after the Sabres drafted the defenseman first overall July 23. “He’s going to fit this team very well,” Dahlin said. “Yeah, as soon as he got drafted I got some thoughts of what he’s going through.” Power returned to Michigan for his sophomore season. … Winger Kyle Okposo (non-COVID illness) did not practice Friday. http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/rasmus-dahlin-believes-in-sabres-new-core-we-can-change-the-culture/

Notes: Adams said every player has received his doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. “That’s a great thing for us in terms of where we’re as we start camp,” he said. … Adams said defense prospect Mattias Samuelsson, who blocked a shot late in Friday’s Prospects Challenge opener, is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. http://www.buffalohockeybeat.com/zemgus-girgensons-excited-to-be-back-believes-sabres-rebuild-can-work/

And Okpoos and Girgs to regain their checking role. They were really excellent together for awhile. Hard to play against Bad goaltending will hamper some of the players and take away that safety net they need to get going.

What if Skinner is with them?

This is fun actually talking about hockey!
-
Yup Keep that ATM line together! I think they realize they have a talent there. I was running the PP basically in the prospect game. He needs someone to feed him the puck with that shot he has
-
I'd just leave that open until a captain emerges. Making a player like Grigs or Kyle captain would be premature. They might not be in the line up long for all we know.

I really enjoy Genny Cream Ale now. After 40 years of not touching the stuff I buy a six pack regularly

If he comes back, and he will have to, and there is success, ya, I could see happy smiling faces. In life, anything is possible with winning. If he comes back and they lose, that will just be more frustration and anger (probable outcome, imo) -

I thought he kind of did have a system of "Turn and burn." Get moving up ice with speed as quickly as possible and hit the blue line running. Reminded me of how Tampa plays. That's why the drafting of fast players. But that's just my perception -

Sure would look better with Jack in that mix. -
And if they play well together, as they have in the past, they will be a real help. I like Skinner being with them to capitalize on their forecheck
