  1. Ok, you made me think he will play again. Adams sure seems hell bent on squeezing all the value he can out of this asset. Good. Selling him as damaged goods at a fire sale price would be bad all around. He is under contract with us at ten million a year. I suppose you are assuming they can’t work out a medical solution? Maybe that’s true, but something has to give. Is he just going to sit out as long as it takes? If he is fixed up and ready to play and no deal has yet been reached I’d tell him he has to be ready to suit up for the Sabres. If he doesn’t show, suspend him and leave him in purgatory. But if he plays, He’d fit right in. This is not the same team he was on and his best friend is gone. A healthy Jack playing good hockey would fetch a huge return, and Adams knows he can probably ride his early career as a winner with what we already have here. And if he just stays a Sabre and is great, so be it
  2. Or maybe he can play in the Olympics? But he had better get the surgery fast and that seems like its not happening
  3. Yup, he's going to have to take some hits before anyone will trust if he is ok.
  4. I know totally different situation, but I am reminded of Andrea Reed's horrible ham string injury and the Bills just gave him a personal try out before signing him. Wonder if other teams will just go on a physical and try out?
  5. Team chemistry does seem light years ahead of where it was, no doubt.
  6. Yes, he's part of the awesome penalty kill unit and he is actually fast. I expect him to, like a lot of the players, have his stretches where he scores a lot and then disappears while others pick up slack.
  7. Opinions differ. I go back and forth on this one. I'm leaning towards no, but I also think anything can happen.
  8. So you must think the trade was great. Right? We got a lot for him
  9. They just might not be that good any more. Linus was horrible in preseason. This isn’t the Chara in his prime team anymore.
  10. I said 6 @20, but I may have been drinking when I did. lol
  11. But we top the special teams list, though! That's good. Still no PP goals against. Would be great to shut down Bruins PP
  12. Can't recall any break aways and just a few two on ones. We have had a lot of odd man breaks for us though
  13. I wish a reporter would ask the coach about this! Really interesting!
  14. The passing they are doing is like that. So many no look passes to places where its kind of dangerous, but it works! So refreshing to see them ping ponging the puck around tape to tape.
  15. Just the facts When: Tonight, 7:30 PM Where: Wells Fargo Center - Philadelphia, PA How to follow: TNT, 98.5 The Sports Hub Rival SBN site: Broad Street Hockey Know your enemy 1-0-1, 3 points, T-5th in Metropolitan Division Joel Farabee: 2G-2A-4PTS; Travis Konecny: 2G-1A-3PTS; Derrick Brassard: 1G-2A-3PTS Carter Hart: 1-0-1, 2.43 GAA, .921 save percentage Game notes Back at it! I hope you enjoyed that nice break after such a long, grueling, single game to start the season. The Flyers haven’t been much busier than the B’s, playing just two games: a shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks and a 6-1 thumping of the Seattle Kraken. Philly has been a goal-scoring machine on the young season, recording 4 goals in Game 1 and 6 in Game 2. They’re doing it without one of their better forwards as well, with Kevin Hayes on the shelf to begin the season. Of course, the Bruins are a better team than both the Canucks and the not-looking-like-the-Vegas-Golden-Knights Kraken, so this will be a good test for the Flyers. I guess you could argue that every game is a good test for every team this early in the season, so...yeah. For the Bruins, they’ll be looking to pick up where they left off Saturday night. There were no injuries, so the forwards and the defense corps should remain the same. Bruce Cassidy confirmed on Tuesday that Jeremy Swayman will start again tonight, with Linus Ullmark starting against Buffalo on Friday. Philly’s game against Seattle featured a whole bunch of rough stuff, including 52 penalty minutes combined just between the Flyers’ Nate Thompson and Seattle’s Nathan Bastian. The Bruins’ win over Dallas was a relatively tame affair; if the Flyers try to play rough-and-tumble hockey, it’ll be interesting to see how this revamped Bruins team does. One of the more surprising moves of the off-season came when the Flyers decided Rasmus Ristolainen was worth dealing a first-round pick; the Finnish defenseman hasn’t played in the regular season due to a minor injury, but is expected to be available tonight. See ya tonight!
  16. Nice win, can't wait to see them play the Bruins but am kind of nervous those damn Bruins will ruin our dreams again, lol. Also, interested to see them play on the road. All home games so far.
  17. Hey, we are enjoying this years winning streak before they fall apart
