Sulzer wasn't a world beater when he was in, he was just solid. He is 28 and has basically been a 7th defenseman in his NHL career so far. He seems like a better bet for consistency than MAG ever was. And you are underestimating Cody Hodgson. He's also just 22.

I haven't made my mind up on Semin, yet. He's really really good at hockey, but he's kind of a pansy. That said, he's a proven NHL talent. With our team trending toward physicality, it might be a good time to sign a talented guy like Semin.

VAN wont get a great return for Luongo because of his contract. Miller would likely fetch more than Luongo.
