Which has always been true of the things Jimmy does. Jimmy is a firm believer that the ends justify the means. He's now losing his empathy and accepting that his plans are going to have collateral damage. What makes this so shocking is that Jimmy is the one doing it. In Breaking Bad Jimmy did a whole lot of advising other people to do horrible things. This is the worst thing we've ever seen Jimmy OR Saul do. It makes me wonder how far he's going to be gone by the time we get to Breaking Bad.

I've loved this song for so long. I can't pick up a guitar without thumbing through this part a couple times. 2 chord jams are my favorite kind of songs, and I've never been able to shake this one from my fingers. I feel like it fits into being my theme song because my life has kinda followed this pattern. There might be phrases where I change something or break the mold for a short while, but I always end up back where I started doing the same thing I always do. At least, that's how I've made most of my mistakes in life so far. Not to make it sound all bad, I'm happy and in a good place right now. But a song that's relaxed and funky and repetitive hits it right on the head.

Hot damn that was an exciting episode. Nacho's confession/warning to his father was heartbreaking. Kim overworking herself because she doesn't know what to do about Jimmy is heartbreaking. Chuck and Hamlin's spat was neat. Jimmy destroying Irene's life was disgusting. Everything is so finite. Everything good is ephemeral and dwindling. it.

I watched Twilight last night. It's hilarious. Firmly in the so bad it's good category. Mormon sexual values, over-the-top angsty deliveries, and amazingly cheap special effects. The Harry Potter movies that came out around the same time had $150-250 budgets, while Twilight comes in at a miniscule $37 mil. It felt like the director was making fun of the movie the whole time. Randomly tilting the camera as often as possible and pointlessly inserting a bunch of Michael Bay spinny shots. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart both being damn fine actors makes their horrible performances in this movie even funnier. 10/10

I'm pretty intrigued by Vegas. I've never seen an expansion team before.

I'm not going to spend my time worrying about Okposo. If he ends up retiring or being out this year, that totally sucks. But I follow sports to have fun so I'm just gonna assume he's fine. And I'm not really debating any on-ice stuff, I'm just pointing out a semantic quirk that I've gotten so sick of reading. Calling Kane our top goal scorer imbues him with an importance that he just doesn't have. I'm gonna start exclusively referring to Kane as "our oft-injured leading goal scorer with 1 year left on his deal."

I stopped caring about the series after game 1. I didn't even watch the last 3 games. NHL hockey is so stupid.

Okay, can we cool it with this top goal scorer stuff? Jack Eichel was injured for a significant chunk of the season. O'Reilly and Okposo are both better offensive players than Kane. Our forwards will also score more once they're not playing Bylsma's system. Kane is a good player. He'd be a nice player to have on our team long term. I think his game is well suited to the war that is playoff hockey. With Jack and Sam's raises coming up and with Okposo/O'Reilly signed long term, not wanting to sign Kane to a huge contract is a legit point of view. So please, please stop smugly saying YOU WANNA GET RID OF OUR LEEEEEAAADING GOAL SCORER? (who outshot his career shooting percentage by a decent clip)
