Coppola was extremely true to the book. I think he only cut out maybe 2 characters. There are a ridiculous amount of chapters divorced to Johnny Fontaine and how he's a booze bag, who drank away his voice and now he's divorced splitting his time between LA and Vegas. Then there's an entire novella devoted to Lucy Mancini and her doctor who surgically repairs her loose vag*** and makes her achieve climax again. Oh, and she had ten points(interest) in the casino in Vegas.

I'm going to go to 3 liquor stores. They are between 1 and 10 miles of my house and I'm going to take a picture of the bourbon section. You're going to weep.

I bought a bottle of Angel's Envy last night. It's without a doubt the best bourbon I've ever tasted. Now I have to make it last. Since Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare are impossible to get in Pennsylvania (and have been for about 2 years) my wine consumption has increased tenfold. Tonight it's a white trash whiskey tasting. Jameson is up first. Of course I've done shots of Jameson, I went to highschool. I've just never had it in a glass. It's fine. Next up is the swill that Connor McGregor peddles, Proper Number Twelve. Let's see how this goes.

Pretty sure I made Gorham my base of operations a few years ago for a ski filled weekend in NH and Maine a couple years ago. Nice, middle of nowhere destination. I'm pretty sure I didn't have cell service for 3 days.

I read Mario Puzo's The Godfather not long ago. It's the only book I've read that the movie is better than. Coppola really trimmed the fat on that one.

I worked from 6pm-2am for many years. A true single person's shift. Party every night after work and there's no alarm clock.

Working day shift. Seriously. I've been doing a 9-5 for the past 5 days and it feels like it's been 3 years. How on earth do people live this way? I look outside, I see the horses trotting and pacing. I see the sun. The sun laughs at me. It says "hey, I bet you wish you were doing cool, sunny day ***** right about now, huh?"

It really is one of the better goal calls.

My brother just scored us tickets for Martinsville on Halloween! I can't wait. I've only ever seen NASCAR at The Glen and at Pocono. Can't wait for the "half mile of mayhem!"
