My kid got Rollerblades for his birthday so I dusted off mine to go skate with him. I used to skate everyday. This is a good point. If my kid wants to be a plumber, or start a construction/landscaping company then I'll encourage it. I know many successful people in those industries. And they had very little college debt. I work in the gaming(gambling) industry, and while I do hold degrees, they are not necessary. In my department, entry level employees make 40k easily. I started as a black Jack dealer when I was 19 years old and over the last 11 years I've worked my ass off and worked my way up. (3 more promotions before I'm DeNiro in Casino :p ) The massive debts accumulated by college students now is enough to make you ill. I can't imagine having 120k in student loan debt. I don't want that for my child. I know I wasn't ready to decide what I wanted to do for a living when I was 18 and left home for UB. I did what every kid does. I partied my balls off! PJs, Molly's, the steer. Party 4 nights a week and hope you can make it to class. Like a lot of kids, I wasn't mature enough to bunker down and study like I should have been. I did enough to pass. After 2 years I decided to take a year off and contemplate my future. I moved home, started working at turning stone and decided I could make a career out of it. I transferred schools and worked my ass off for 2 years, full time at school and at work. Taking extra classes at work to learn more games, it was awful but I was finally mature and driven. I think that when my son graduates high school he will probably have academic scholarships waiting for him(thank God, he's got his mother's smarts) but if that's not the case I may encourage him to enter the workforce and try to figure out what he knows he wants to do instead of blowing 50k on two years of liberal arts.

Now this might just be me, but I think this is the worst draft I've ever seen. I don't think any of the players are any good(hyperbole) and the bills don't have a pick for me to care about. I did zero draft homework for the first time in about ten years because I don't care about any players in this draft. If it's just me being jaded feel free to say so. That has been known to happen.
