Oh yeah.....well.....Syracuse rocked Colgate! So there! ...I'm a little bit ashamed.

I just experienced my very first cross country meet. Had no idea what to expect. These parents are the same as alpine ski racing parents. I'm bringing my cowbell to the next one!

Fudge stripes are the best store bought cookie. Seconded! However, no tomatoes on my sandwiches. Sorry, everyone. I've come a long way on tomatoes. I would not allow them on my plate for the longest of time. I've finally begun eating them in macaroni salad, potato salad and pasta salad. Oh, and on my Mexican Pizza from Taco bell. Check back with me next year. On to Dinosaur BBQ. I was at the state fair on Sunday. I ate everything in sight, as per usual. Before I left, the line had died down at the dinosaur stand, so I got my pulled pork sandwich. For my money it's still the best pulled pork sandwich out there. I freaking love it. I didn't have time to get the ribs this year, so I fired up some baby backs on Monday and I hit those up with a generous slathering of Wango Tango. I live out of the Dinosaur cook book all summer long.

Calisthenics. Not looking to add any muscle whatsoever. I'm not about to have to buy new clothes. Pull ups, push ups and core work. Now I just have to make a routine of it. I'm not ready to fully embrace the "dad body" yet. I can fight it off for a while longer.

That's the spirit! Go the the garage, pay the bill, pick up the car, come to work....chaos ensues. I have to replace 3 supervisors and a 5 other folks. With whom, you ask? Oh, here! Let me just pull them out of my ass for you. Then, about 20 minutes in, I get a call from the school, yep, teacher is leaving early, I've got to go down and cover that now for 2 hours. So I'm in the school, molding minds, and my phones are ringing every 9 seconds because, like I said before, chaos! I get the class wrapped up, so that I can finally devote my attention to where it needs to be and......quiet as a church mouse now! I'm a little burned out tonight. The drive home should be fun. For every mile of road there's 2 miles of ditch...

Pfff, we do this every day. Frustrating, ain't it? One of my friends fired himself 2 days ago. He won't be replaced for at least another month. My complaint today: Myself. My driving habits are becoming more and more expensive. I drive way too fast. The roads around here are absolute trash and me flying on them isn't helping the longevity of my tires. My tire guy is an acquaintance from work and he got me a $300 rebate because my tires only had 16,000 miles on them before I shredded them. But this was still a pretty expensive lesson. Speed is my outlet. I apparently need a new one.

I'm too indifferent to the Bills and the NFL at this point to fight you.

Yupper! Did it to my left knee when I was 14, skiing. I threw a 360 opposite my natural rotation direction. Got lazy on the landing...it worked out poorly for me. Made it back for spring baseball season at about 75%. Was 100% by summer ball. I'm certain that he has better doctors than I had.

I've caught that little at every wedding I've ever been to in my life, except the one where I was 5 years old. Dead serious! I'm 9 for my last 9. My best friend's wedding, 10 years ago was the worst one though. Dove through a pricker bush to get that one. At this point, it's a matter of principal.

Proof reading is hard/reading text messages and computer shorthand have made me dumber. I'm in the midst of editing 250 employee evaluations. I wrote about 2/3 of them. But the other 1/3, different writing style than mine. It's not that easy picking out typos on the computer screen. I've torn up 4 so far that I saw a typo on after I had already printed it. I don't envy news editors.
