I've got a buddy who is a huge Dodgers fan and I feel like I have to hear about this every single year. They've been good, they might be better this year, but they still have yet to do anything in the last 29 years. They're working on 5 division titles in a row and 0 pennants. They need to show up in the playoffs at least once this century.

Ink, I got passed over for promotion for the first year and a half at my company. I didn't play the game. It's a happy go lucky company, with all that rah, rah bullsh!t from HR. I came in, I killed it at my job and I was better than 95% of my peers. But I didn't "look like I was having fun" Well no sh!t, Sherlock! I'm at work! If I didn't have to be here to pay for things, I wouldn't be! Anyway, when a complete head of a colleague got promoted to a spot that should have easily been mine, I had a minor meltdown. I swallowed all my pride and then I sold my soul to these chipper, "Hey, how are ya! Isn't it a beautiful day to be alive" people. Fast forward to 7 years at the company. I've been promoted 4 times because I can fake it so hard in an interview that my own mother wouldn't recognize me. Wouldn't it be nice if corporations recognized who is smarter and better equipped to handle situations based on actual merit than me having to fake being happy in my current situation? I still kick ass at my job and get nothing but positive reviews from my bosses. But now HR likes me. If HR knew their from their elbow, I'd marbles.

I was cleaning my old things out of my parents house back in NY the other day. I found a treasure trove of awesomeness. I found mint condition Hess trucks, my autograph collection, including an Adam Oates and my Andre Reed that I've been looking for forever! I found old pictures, dear John letters (yeah, more than one lol) and a book of burned CDs! Awesome CDs that I haven't seen in 15 years. Then I found my old art portfolio. It ranges from 9th to 11th grade and it's completely awesome. It's so cool to look back and see that I never had any talent for art! Haha. And I'm pretty sure I didn't use a pencil once in those 3 years. Nothing but chalk, watercolor and etchings. I'm lucky I still have both ears!

I've got a couch in decent shape in my garage. Swing by with a truck and it's yours. Just a short 4.5 hour drive.

I just think if he or anyone else is named captain then we are making a bullsh!t, half assed, loser decision that loser franchises make and that we will continue to be a garbage, loser franchise forever.)
