It is 67 degrees on February 15th at 900 feet in the middle of the Poconos.

This winter sucks horribly. It never snows in the Poconos as it is, but this is ridiculous. We're under 10 inches on the season. We average 68 inches. We can't even make snow on the mountains because it's 50 degrees everyday. Awful. Just awful.

We Own This City on HBO is pretty darn good. It's a 6 episode miniseries dramatization of the 2017 rico case against the Baltimore PD's Gun Trace Taskforce. It's written by David Simon, who also wrote The Wire. Jon Bernthal plays one of the main cops and he's just great. His Baltimore accent is right on and hilarious. Gritty show. If you liked The Wire, take 3 days and give it a watch. Up next is Tulsa King.

My hot water heater blew last night while I was at work. Why isn't this in the complaint thread? Because my neighbor came over today, went with me to the hardware store, helped me pick out a new one, let me use his military discount, threw it on his truck, brought it down and installed it for me over about 2 and a half hours tonight. I could have never done this job on my own. I simply don't have the know how. But I do now! If I'd have had the plumber come out to do this job it would have cost me 2 grand. This cost me $600 for the new tank. I tried to pay my neighbor $300 for helping me out and he flat out refused. Some people are just awesome. Now I'm getting him and his wife a gift card to a pretty nice restaurant in town and I'm not letting him refuse me this time. Good people are just plain awesome.

Took one my dogs to the No Appointment Necessary Clinic today to get his shots updated. The line was 95 people and 65 dogs deep. ***** that! I'll make an appointment with his Vet for tomorrow, pay $45 more dollars and save my *****in sanity. $100 to wait in line for 2 and a half hours? No way!

Waiter ***** ya. But your friend is absolutely also at fault. You don't joke with the waiter. You order from the waiter. And the waiter clearly ***** you over, so you stiffed the waiter. It's a fair play.

Welcome to January skiing in the Northeast. It's a thing and it has been for all 35 years I've been skiing. There are good days and bad days. February is the most consistent, but to be honest, March is the best ski month.

So, who will be replacing Austria in next year's tourney? Wowsers!
