Funny you say that, its the first time in my life im hoping the Leafs make the play-offs and get swept in 4 games. I want them no where near the NHL lottery next year. With the Islanders, I don't see them out of the bottom 5 if not challenging Buffalo for the top pick. They over paid both former Leafs as noone else would go there. Its a lot to ask Strome and Reinhart to make a significant impact this coming season - though I do believe both will be solid NHL players.

where is Reinhart next year - NHL or WHL?. i THINK Another year in juniors (including playing on a line with McDavid at the worlds) can do him good. plus you dont eat up a year of his elc.

anyone else notice that Noah Hanifin was not invited to the USA World Junior camp? Seems odd to leave the 3rd ranked prospect in the 2015 draft off the list.

unfortunately, not so fast. Le Brun was just on TSN saying that the league just came out saying "nothing is guaranteed at this point" still possible for changes. Why cant anything be easy as a Sabres fan?

i have no issue trading Myers or Ehrhoff in the right trade and drafting Ekblad - however you need to bring in a couple of vets to help show the kids the way.

As serious as a heart attck lol. I like what Bennett brings in general terms - tenacity and an edge to his game. Think the Sabres could use these traits. Though, If the Sabres end up drafting Reinhart I will definitely trust their judgement.

Islanders trade for Halak - hopefully this goes as well as when they traded for Erhoffs rights prior to free agency. More evidence that the Islanders are going to reload as best as possible for next season and thus take the pick this year and defer the 2015 to Buffalo

Im going to Trust Tim Murray and the organization to make the right call on these guys and ensure they do what is best for the future development of all the young players. My preference would be to make Rochester as strong as possible next year and dominate the AHL. Let them take a serious run at the Calder Cup in 2014-15. After some success there we can see who dererves to play on the Sabres in 15-16.

Good point about the CHL players. Today's game USA vs Sweden should be a good test as both teams have their best players at the Tourney. Jack Eichel - WOW!! what a player, the more I see the more I want!! Killing Penalties for the US. steals the puck, blows past the Dman, tremendous acceleration and gets hauled down as he breaks to the net Can I dare to dream of the Sabres landing both McDavid and Eichel?
