They have plenty of cap room to add a quality top 4 dman, especially if you move out Jokiharju. Cap going up and you have Clifton coming off the books at the end of the season (I believe) in Columbus they attribute the the year Werenski is having to playing along side Provorov (stay at home dman) at this point, Adams needs to overpay to bring in another top 4 dman. they also should find a low cost vet bottom pair guy who can kill penalties. Take that responsibility totally away from Power

My next crusade is to defend Owen Power. Another HUGE failure is not to get him a legit partner to play with Luke Hughes, very similar profile to Power get Pesce and Power get Jokiharju??? The Sabres are the franchise that ruined Risto. Taking an offensive minded dman to become something he wasn't - a shut down defender. Just because he is 6'4. they almost ruined Dahlin, thankfully Granato and Dahlins pure ability saved him. Probably still not the player he could havd been if he had anyone to mentor him. Closest thing they had was Johnson last season now they are trying the same thing with Power. He is never going to be a shut down type. He's never going to be out there laying people out. BUT that doesn't mean he isn't a valuable piece. Let him be an offensive force. the time is now. Boot both Jokiharju and Bryson to the curb and bring in a proper d partner that can allow Owen to create offence while his partner supports him. Sabres fans are always quick to want to run out their players who are / will be good out of town The list is long Eichel, Dahlin, Mitts and the most egregious one of all Samson Reinhart Time to realize it's the Brysons and Jokiharjus of the world that need to go and replaced by legit Vet NHL dmen

Im thinking they are not having fun watching the video of last nights game hope Adams is forced to Watch along with them. he's the one that has assembled the team and is most to blame

I've said it before but a sell and move might be the best solution with the promise by the league to give Buffalo an expansion franchise within the next decade think fresh start might be the only way to go for them

The "Sell the Team" campaign needs to start need someone with influence to take charge , whomever that is. I can actually see Terry crumbling to a fan revolt. however, I doubt we (the fans) have the energy or the passion to put that kind od pressure on him. I know I don't. I agree it's on Adams and the owner not one of us on this site would have come into this season with 10 and 78 on this team, not one. How can we all know it but the GM doesn't ? if nothing else, hopefully the "fire Adams" chant rings out on Thurs night i won't know , cause im boycotting the team all together , including this site on Thurs.

And I think he will learn how to do this over time. However, I don't need him killing penalties and on the ice in the last 2 mins with a 1 goal lead anytime soon No one would have issue with Power if he was just put in a role he is ready for However because Bryson and Joker are still on this team he has to be on the ice when he shouldn't

Of course, the goalie on any team is the most important player

Anyone who think Dahlin isn't by far the most important player on this team should be forced to watch the 3rd period on loop for 48hrs straight no way they crumble like that with him on the ice

At least power has potential to improve. He will get better, I doubt anyone would disagree with that there isnt one 22 year dman you want out there playing against the top players vs the Avs in crunch time. He shouldn't be put into that position as he clearly isn't ready for it You lose Dahlin and you have no choice because the GM hasnt done his job by bringing in legit NHL defenders Power should not have to be penalty killing and should not be out there when protecting a lead That's not on Power, he's at where he should be in his development curve that's on the GM Both Bryson and Jokiharju need to be gone....tomorrow and a legit top 4 dman brought in via trade

We should all boycott the next game. empty stadium , no one watching on tv and no game day thread. just forget about them all together Gotta be better things to do with our lives then invest time and emotion on this team

I feel bad for anyone that truly cares about this franchise anymore It's amazing how little emotion I have watching this team Half the time, the game is just in the background while I look at my phone Hopefully the pressure is ramped up on Adams to make a move, even if it means overpaying you can not be a serious team and have both Bryson and Joker in your top 6 still. We all knew 3 years ago that neither is good enough. Bryson should be in AHL and Joker should be on a team trying to Tank

Hunt, 1st and more draft picks for Jiricek. would be like Rousak and a 1st, which seems to be worth it BUT I'm thinking (hoping) Adams wants to hold onto his 1st round pick in order to acquire an RHD who is ready to step in a contribute right away

My initial thought is that the Sabres acquiring him would look amazing in a couple of years but Adams can't wait for Jiricek. I think Provorov is the real "get" assuming the Blue Jackets want to trade the impending UFA
