Not one player on today's roster was around or even drafted by the Sabres in 2014-15. To say their losing in 2024-25 is tied to the 2014-15 is ludicrous Almost as crazy as not being sure if the team wouldn't be better off with Eichel and Samson on it over Krebs and Tuch

It netted you two of the top 10 forwards in the world and somehow you can't be sure the Sabres would be better with them on your roster ? thank tank was brilliant and it worked to perfection. Unfortunately that's the only thing that has ever worked for the Sabres If you won't accept the Oilers tanked to get McDavid and Draisaitl. how about the Leafs in the Matthews year? Were they trying to win when they played Sparks down the stretch of the 2015-16 instead of their healthy #1 goalie James Reimer? will you accept the Penguins tanked to get Lemieux? were the Hawks trying to win when the got Kane and Toews?

One thing that stuck out to me reading about the draft is that Misa is elite at zone entries. Sounds exactly what the Sabres need for their PP I guess my question would be , could he be your 3rd line centre and be on the top PP by next season?

Glad you can admit a tank can actually work. Took the Oilers time but eventually they successfully rebuilt with the 2 pieces they got in the 14 and 15 draft. It's laughable to think the answer to"would this team be better with Eichel and Reinhart and subtracting Tuch and Krebs" is "I don't know". There are only 2 players on the current roster that can not be part of the solution. Jokiharju and Bryson, neither should be on an NHL roster for anyone except bottom feeders all others can be part of the solution - the reality is that this team is average with a healthy Dahlin in the lineup I have to wonder if he has the highest value to his team in the entire league I know that sounds crazy but with him they are average, without him - the Sharks look like juggernauts in comparison he leaves with injury up 4-1 vs the Avs and 20 mins without him they get outscored 4-0 Then go onto lose 8 in a row without him He'll, maybe he is underplayed at $11 million so, you become avg again once he returns If they can add another top 4 partner to pair with Power, I think they could be a top 12 team in the league BUT you have to rid yourself of Jokiharju and probably trade away a forward off the roster (plus prospects / picks) to get that top 4 dman The biggest question then becomes , is Adams capable of making such a trade ?

I really struggle with people's inability to separate the Tank from the rebuild Once they traded for ROR and Lehner at the 2015 draft after trading for an injured Kane late in 14-15 season the tank was over and the next phase the rebuild started Not to mention, thinking that what happened 10 years ago has anything to do with this years team is half really dumb and half crazy. Where does it end? Is this years Bills team destined to lose the Super Bowl because of what happened from 1990 to 1994? When does it end?

If you don't think this team is better with Eichel and Samson on it then Krebs and Tuch, I really can't help you the tank worked. You would have 2 of the top 10 / 15 forwards in the world on your team and they messed it up.

let me ask you this. How doubt you will answer but do you think adding Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel to this team and subtracting Krebs and Tuch would make the Sabres a lot better right now ? I signed up for a rebuild around core pieces like Samson and Jack. Not for mismanagement, not for a Mickey Mouse owner. I certainly didn't sign up for one of the richest men in the world treat the Sabres as a poverty franchise , as an after thought. So don't watch or enjoy them at all. Don't spend money on them because their product is so awful. Just sit back and be thankful. "thank you , may I have another"

Mostly directed at fans who still attend games and purchase merchandise BUT how about those still watching on TV. how strong is your appetite for a boycott of all things Sabres? would you cancel your season tickets? Stop going games? Stop watching the team all together I've stopped watching the games live over the last couple of weeks but I've scrolled through the replays. Except for yesterday where I haven't even seen a highlite im more than willing to stop watching all together, will not spend $1 (even a cdn dollar) on them until drastic changes are made. Forcing a sale of the franchise would be the #1 goal.

As they sink down the standings, I will say probably not unless you get a real difference maker in return. things I would need answered if they fall into a position to draft one of the top 4 1) how close to a Jack Hughes clone is Hagens? 2) how long will it take for Martone to develop into a top line power forward with a nose for the net? Are we talking by the time he is 20 or by the time he is 24? 3) Misa has potential to become elite at zone entries. Is this the missing piece to the PP? Again, what's the timeline? Are we talking D+1 or D+4 Maybe these players fit the time-line for a core group of forwards that's will feature Helenius and Bensons of the prospect pool? You would have a bunch of forwards in the top 6 in early 20s paired with top 4 defenders in the mid 20s and (hopefully) a top end goalie in Levi whereas, Eichel had guys like Gorges, Beaulieu and Antipin playing with him In theory, the next batch of prospects would be in a much better position to succeed than Eichel and Samson did

I'll assume Pegula will go on the cheap and promote Karmanos but who else is out there? would being an assistant GM for a successful franchise be enough? Or does he need experience being in the captains chair? if you want a guy with experience , the list will be pretty short on guys with experience and a track record of success. the top guy is probably Botterill. 😂😂😂

This makes no sense. Why would he have extra pressure?. They suck without him. What the actual ***** ?? They wouldn't be in a 10 game losing streak if he didn't get hurt. they collapse in the 3rd up 4-1 vs the Avs after he is forced out of the game and they lose 7 straight without him and he is the problem? if there is one player you want to keep it's Dahlin! I think the only reason I come to this site anymore is to get a laugh reading such garbage like this post

Maybe the only hope is for Dahlin not to return this year, take care of his back, and let this team go down the drain and end up at the bottom of the standings ? or maybe just find another team to cheer for the back half of my life lol

I can't imagine watching the Sabres while Josh Allen is playing at this level. He is must watch tv, a once in a lifetime type player playing for a Buffalo team. Enjoy it while you can

It's so sadhow much of a joke this team has become to the national media. However, I'm glad that everyone is talking about the futility of the team rather then no one notice or care. We really just need Wayne to call them a Mickey Mouse Franchise 2 main points I've heard and that I completely agree with 1) Adams (palm trees aside) mentioned the Bills being a destination team when they got Josh Allen. But Adams had his Josh Allen, in Jack Eichel, when he got the job and he ran him out of town. So frustrating thinking where this team would be right now if they were a franchise that both Sam and Jack wanted to play for 2) it would be a joke if they traded away Cozens. Yes he is struggling but work with the player and you (the Sabres) be the ones to get him back on track. Don't trade him away to see another team fix him and have him become a star im glad that the entire hockey world is talking about the Sabres Hopefully ownership is feeling the heat and is tired / embarrassed to be a laughing stock my fear is Pegula is too busy with the Bills to even notice or care
