You have a valid point. Most preseason predictions had the Sabres in 5th or 6th place. No one saw this disaster. Phil might be the wrong guy at the helm to get these guys to play as a cohesive unit.

That PP was okay until they kept hemming themselves in along the boards. NYI did a good job and gave them nothing. Competitive contest. Good hockey game to watch.

This team is expansion level bad. Not even in a tank mode. Sad. Murray's vision did not pan out. This will take years to turn this around to a decent team. Eichel is playing like a second line talent. Even totally healthy this squad can not score. Long season drags on. Sabres will probably wiff on getting the top pick in the draft.

8 empty net goals. That is an indictment on every single player.

Boston is doing play off type hockey. Sabres will be hard pressed to get a chance to have a decent shot on goal now.
