I want to see the pictures Darcy has that keeps him employed with the Sabres. They have to be priceless. That is the only way, IMO, he has been able to hang on to his job.

I was a Bisons fan and watch Punch build the Sabres from a expansion team to Stanley Cup contender in 5 years. Even the 71-72 season was exciting due to Gilbert Perrault and Rick Martin. No excitement being generated by the Sabres,

I was being a smart butt earlier, when I said Darcy would be happy to sign a couple AHL forwards. I was not too far off the mark. He is determined to run this franchise into the ground and then rebuild only through the draft. That can work in the NFL and NBA but not in the NHL. I don't trust Darcy's judgment of talent.

The lack of movement with Vanek and Miller before the draft ensures they start the season with the team. To get max return, play them and move them at the trade line.

Darcy is ready to sign a pair of AHL 4th line forwards. He does back flip at new conference.

Darcy found a bargain on hockey pucks and athletic tape. He is pleased with himself. Another step towards the Stanley Cup/

Darcy will be in the bargain basement filing up the roster with guys that make you say: "WHO?"

Why worry about Briere? Goal totals the last 3 season are 34, 16 and 6. Production decreases as age increases. He will be lucky to get 15 goals this year. If they are in rebuild mode, go young and ignore the over 30 vets.

All I have to say is Pegula and Black are tone deaf to the anger the fans have about the sorry state of the franchise. I was a Reiger supporter and I am done with him. He has shown to be a passive yet arrogant man who continues to make the same decisions expecting different results when it ends up the same...a mediocre product on the ice.

Hecht played a quiet career. He did what as asked of him. Never complained in the press, I liked his style of defense on opposing forwards. Go home and finish up your hockey career in your native land Jochen. You deserve it. Thanks for good memories and rock solid honest play.

I get the feeling Darcy will move up in the organization and a new GM will be brought in. Miller is gone. He does not want to go thru a rebuilding process. Vanek should be kept. He is a unique talent. He has to be lined up with 2 guys who are more physical than him.

This game is the past 5 seasons rolled into one. TIme they give this team a talent enema.

Vanek's attempt was pathetic. He should take notes of what Elias did. Enroth strong game but lack of scoring dooms this team. Quit trying to get into the playoffs. No need to get embarassed. Time to plan for the future. Miller's OT magic is waning.

Myers is playing like he is a rookie all over again. Vanek please bury the puck aggressively. Even with a presumed open net. Note to Ssbres, when the puck drops take the game to the opponent. Be aggressive. This crude of starting games like it is the warm up skate is maddening. How long before the trade (fill in the blank) starts. A couple of wins and they contiune to play stupidly. I picked the wrong season to stop drinking.

Focus on the PP. Work on passing so the other guy can shoot. On last PP in OT I saw 2 passes cross to the right wing for a one timer but was to the back hand. Small things like that. Move smarter in the offensive zone. Don't stand and watch. Too much dancing around and indecisiveness on the point. Worst PP unit in the league was on display tonight. Over all the 5 on 5 play was good.

Soft shots....vs determined shots. Game over. Let a game get away that should have been a victory. Bummer.

Bring Dave ANdreychuk in to teach these guys how to plant your butt in front, screen the goalie and get garbage goals. All the skating and shots from the wing with no screen are easy for the goalie.

Power Play is supposed to be a cohesive unit. The Sabres are 2 sets of individuals. Crisp passing and unforced errors should be a given. Needs alot of work

Great guy, good coach and I wishl him well. He tried his best but time to move on. I am tired of the type on men the Sabres draft. Darcy Rieger loves a laid back types. Start the fire sale. Stafford and Hecht should be traded. Strip Pommer of the C. This team has talent but just plain sucks as a group.
