PP continues its multiseason struggles.

Looks like all Edmonton wants to do is fight tonight.

While the debate is what is the current total salary hit to the Sabres versus the cap floor that will go in effect for next season, the NHL is debating on whether to change the current draft format. The Sabres may be tanking but going with cheap players in order to strengthen their draft position a year from now. If the changes are made it may be all for naught and the lottery could push therm down to 4th or 5th and they lose out on the franchise changing type of player. I don't trust the NHL at all.

Another loss...it will be the Sabres luck that the NHL changes the draft and they get screwed out the top pick.

Stafford and Ennis are playing aggressively on offense. That is a nice change of pace.

At least the Sabres have at 3 goalies that can play. Now the job is to put a team in front of them.

If the salary cap goes up and the Sabres have to hit the cap floor, no ceiling, that means they will have to spend about $15 million beyond what they have on the roster. take away any dead contracts, I can see Murray signing several mid level free agents that fill particular rolls on the team. I don't see any snipers in this group but they need a veteran presence in the locker room and we know several Vets will be released in the off season. I am taking a wait and see approach. I can not go through another dead season. I am not a Cubs fan. I don't want to be eliminated from the playoffs before the season begins.

Bad, boring hockey will kill fan interest.

I beg to differ. he had an insiders POV. He knew they had a good core but when Darcy let Briere and Drury go for nothing, he saw the hand writing on the wall. DR was not serious about building a contender. Telling the guys to step up their game is one thing. They were short 2 or 3 solid vets to be a competitive threat in the playoffs. Vanek was not whining but being honest.
