Stafford is not liked by a many in Sabresnation but he will get a contract from another NHL club. Pre-draft expectations haunt most players. They are who they are and not a scouting report. He is a good 3rd or 4th line player. His time with Buffalo is fleeting.

After first period I thought Detroit was caught flat footed. Took the Sabres lightly since they are dressing 5 AHLers. Now the second period is in the books, I think the young turks on the Sabres are playing good hockey and Detroit, getting a ton of shots, are rattled. Will the Sabres fade and lose like they did in Boston? I hope the youngsters keep up the strong play and win.

Biodork...better physical conditioning would help. He has to concentrate and his form. Regroup during play stoppages and go through the mental check list. I did that. I was average and did not play past high school but I know mental fatigue is just a factor as physical.
