Anyone thought about the tank for a prospect who MIGHT break a Jason Dawe scoring record!!!!
-
I read the article as simply another scream by the print media from its deathbed. I love newspapers - but I will see the end of them in my lifetime, and I'm in my mid fifties!

If he is a free agent he shouldn't be offered a player contract. As much as he bleeds blue & gold, he can't overcome being a red raider

Who does Tim Murray Trade in the summer of 2015?

I agree - I also don't think Grigorenko gets traded until Eichel is signed - meaning I don't think he'll be a draft day trade. -
With Kane at #9, how would you feel if Eichel took....#99

I remember being pissed that Dad took my mother, rather than me, to that game! -

He looked better in a Sabres sweater! -
This better lead to at least a Cup, but that requires some luck. You can build a Cup contender, you can't necessarily build a Cup winner. I view the Sabres franchise in the exact position they were when Punch was present for the spin of the wheel in 1970. We are going to pick 1st or 2nd and get the second coming of Bert. The team and fanbase will be energized and excitement will build over the next couple of years. We'll be a Cup contender for a decade or so, just like the 75-80 teams were. Worth it? Not necessarily, but dawn is on the horizon - I firmly believe we are about to become a perennial Cup contender, not a laughingstock or middling team annually fighting for 7th or 8th

Revisiting the Neuvirth-Johnson trade (for tinfoil hat-wearers only)

Don't traded players have to pass a physical or is that simply a clause that was ignored/swept under the foil hat? -

Anyone else think that GMTM was referring to the 3rd goalie out in Ottawa as someone who might be available in a trade this summer that wasn't available at the deadline? What are your thoughts on Lehner or Hammond? -
CLEARLY the post of the year!

Well played X!

I understand the sentiment about not drafting from the Q but I sure am glad Imlach took a chance on that Perreault kid

Assuming Makarov has been playing better, this seems to confirm that management views him as a potential part of the ultimate solution.

I noticed a beautiful pass he had against St. Louis to essentially create a breakaway for Girgenson.

Have the Sabres ever played two consecutive home games against the same opponent?
-
Go Sabres! I must admit, last night decided what I really want this season is every Sabres game to end in regulation making it a 2 point game while every other nhl game goes into ot,making them 3 point games. hat should help us play well, and finish near the bottom.

The night before is SOOOOOOOOO bad, I was shocked that on the way home the next morning I felt great and enjoyed a nice lunch with my wife. NO after effects at all! Frankly, the jokes are simply part of it -you can look forward to having your doctor report that you are a perfect a$$-ole" -
I find the definition of "generational player" interesting. I never thought of it being the player who define san era - I always thought of it as a player so great, you are lucky if one comes along in each generation. If it is merely the best of an era, frankly you are simply talking about someone who belongs in the hall of fame at the end of hi career. If, as I believe, a "generational player" is someone so far above the other's level of play that thy might only come along once n a generation (generally defined as every twenty years) then I think since I began watching hockey in 68 or 69 you are talking about Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky. Yes, you can win a Stanley Cup without a generational player as I see it because a Cup is won annually and I don't think there is currently a "generational player" in the game. n the other hand, having grown up watching Bert go end to end was ALOT of fun and he did help us play in a SC Final

I agree with nfreeman. I like the idea of an OHL game in Buffalo if they simply want more seats for an Ice Dogs home game, but to have the Sabres, as an organization, hold a press conference is absurd

It's almost impossible to beat a full time player who didn't score for an entire season.

Isn't that Northrup Knox in the upper left, behind Capt. Smith's hip?

To me he has an Isles pedigree in a god, 4 cup winning way) Not a Pens history. I guess it's an age thing
