I've been watching Byram playing and I'm loving how he activates to the front of the net. It's upsetting that my first thought is, "I'm not looking forward to watching them "coach" this out of him"

We are 5 & 8 points ahead of the next two teams behind us. It'd take a hell of a lot of losing for those team to make up that kind of ground on us, so there's no point in "tanking". On the flip side, only 4 points separate us and 7 other teams. A meaningless late season surge could bump us from 8 down a few numbers and since we've suffered so much this season I'd rather have a top 10 pick. That being said, I hope that pick is traded for some immediate help. I am so sick of waiting for draft picks to develop and save this franchise.

I've heard (from a friend who knows people in the front office), who after a few drinks let it slip that they are trying to move on from Skinner. It's a move you'd have to eat salary and maybe have a 3rd party take another 25% on top of the 50% you retain. I'll believe it when I see it but at least they're trying?

A move like this had to happen considering all the talent in the pipeline. If it's Mitts for Byram straight up I don't like it, but I haven't liked much of anything Adams has done.

There have been 6-7 games throughout this season where I've gone in fully expecting a loss and the wheels to completely fall off and I think the Sabres have proved me wrong every time. I feel the same way about this game which means they'll probably come out with a W.
