  1. The top line is the skill line and Greenway isn't a "skilled" player, so my instinct tells me that experiment won't work. Luckily lines can be adjusted mid-game so if it's not working he can switch players around. I did notice that during the Islanders game Tage took a few extra curricular hits. Greenway can add some protection and what I'm more interested in seeing is him finishing hits against the other teams "skill" players since I imagine those lines will be matched up.
  2. I agree, that defense is roughly 68.6% better with Bryson and Clague out of the line-up. Don't understand Greenway on the top line, that seems like a Kruegerism. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
  3. That last loss really took the wind out of my sails, this is maybe the least interested I've been in a game all season.
  4. We got this. Regulation win incoming.
  5. That's a distinct kicking motion Yeah, ***** these guys
  6. I honestly can't remember hearing his name called.
  7. Wheels feel like they're falling off. Maybe olofson can score and spark something....
  8. Need to see at least one other Sabre playing with the intensity I'm seeing from Cozens.
  9. A shorthanded goal would be pretty sweet here. Sabres starting to look like they played last night.
  10. PUT NUMBER 24 IN THE RAFTERS ALREADY
  11. I need Comrie to prove he can win TWO games with Samuelson out (looks like I forgot about that one 🙂 )
  12. If Comrie starts and Samuelsson can't go (which seems likely with the Pilot call up) , Im gonna need Comrie to prove he can win a game without Samuelsson in the lineup.
  13. There's zero chance they sit the captain, and while I agree he's not bringing much to the table because he's cooked, it at least looks like he's putting forth maximum effort on his shifts.
  14. I'll be baffled if it's not VO or Peterka. I was at the game last night and it looked like Granato was constantly shuffling them through the lineup to get ANYTHING out of them and it never worked. Both players have potential but good god do they need a break.
  15. I feel like Bryson wouldn't be playing if Stillman or mule were available.
  16. Notes from the game: 1. VO and PETERKA should not be on a line together. 2. Bryson needs to stop falling over. 3. Anderson is looking calm and collected.
  17. I honestly wish he'd forget about "rounding out his game" and focus on honing his gadget ability to hammer the puck in the net. I can't even remember the last time he's had a PP one-timer.
  18. It's a bit of a moot point because Jost is banged up which is why he's sitting, BUT, if he wasn't sitting I'd be a strong advocate of sitting Oloffsson for a game in the hopes of sparking something to get him going. It's a stretch to flat-out call him not good when he can realistically hit 30 goals this year. His problem is that he's a one-dimensional player who becomes ineffective when he can't do his one-dimensional thing, and my patience with him wears thinner each game his non-factor streak continues. It's usually at this point where he turns it on and will put up 8 goals over the next 12 games or something and I think, "damn, Olofsson is so good, sometimes I wonder why I want him traded" and then he goes cold again and I think "I wish KA would trade his ass." This is all a long winded way of saying he's the most polarizing player on the team for me. If we get back to a point where our non-IR forwards are all healthy I'd like to see a rotation of that 13th forward, sitting VO (unless he picks it up), Peterka, Greenway and / Hinistroza depending on performance and the opponent.
  19. Non-factor indeed, if we're talking about his last 12 games. 0 goals, 3 assists (none in his last 8), -10. When he's not scoring he brings nothing to the table. I'm so sick of watching him turn away from defenders on the point and allowing passing lanes to open up.
