I ditched center ice this year and switched to hockeystreams.com stream looks great so far. Sabres look....okay so far. It's nice to see them completing passes so that's a plus.

But also one less Leino. :flirt:

#1 & #3 I chose Grigorenko. He's been dragged through a real $hitparade so far by the organization. I hope he can use that as a chip on his shoulder and be able to compete & produce at an NHL level. #2: Tyler Myers. Everybody here seems to be agreeing with the goalies which I agree with to an extent but for the first time in a long, long time the team is devoid of a goaltender who is going to steal a game for us when all other parts of our game break down. We need Myers to step up to the player he's shown he can be and more importantly paid to be. He needs to set an example to the rest of our D-Core. If he plays confidently it will trickle down to the rest of the team. Personally, I don't think that's going to happen and poor play in our defensive zone by the D & Goalies is what is going to keep us nestled tightly in the bottom of the standings all year. I do predict our offensive to be more productive this year (how can it not be?). I sincerely believe Leino had some sort of kinetic vampirism that sucked the goal-juice from everyone on the team. Getting rid of the waiver scraps and having the younger guys become less young will help as well.

Development camp - Blue & Gold scrimmage
Mustache of God replied to BuffaloBorn's topic in The Aud Club
Any chance we get a GDT from 26cornerblitz today for the scrimmage? -
Don't see anything on Sabres.com but I'll stream the WGR. Thanks, all.

Anyone have an audio or video link to the TM presser @ 4:30?

Looks like we're passing on Conacher: Not too bummed about letting a guy go whose big highlight of the year was wearing John Scott's helmet. The less RFAs/UFAs on the current roster we let go now means we have to bring in fresh meat and that excites me. Good luck, Cory.

Prediction time: What trades will occur on or before the draft?
Mustache of God replied to nfreeman's topic in The Aud Club
I wouldn't be upset to see Ernhoff moved but I just don't see it happening. Sure, Murray is saying he's not concerned about reaching the cap floor but if we move Ernhoff then that's another 4 million of cap space we'd need to fill. I think any move that Murray makes will involve us eating up some money from another team. I don't have the time to do the digging but I'm curious as to which teams could use the wiggle room near the cap and are also sitting with an attractive draft pick (low-mid teens?) I have complete faith in Murray, it's refreshing change of Darcy's weasel persona. -
I think it's safe to say we've seen the last of Ville Leino playing in a Sabres uniform. It's clear they don't want him getting injured by the seasons end. I wish the buyout included some sort of public flogging, it's almost criminal he gets to walk away with all that money. That man is set for life and all he had to do was get fired from his job.

McCabe almost cost us one at the end of the first. Surprisingly it didn't feel like the ice was shifted towards our net too badly that period. Sabres being outshot 2-1 again...

Leino hoppin' up to the 1st line tonight. Maybe he'll end the drought for reals tonight.

Hackett Starting. "Hackett, acquired from Minnesota in the Jason Pominville trade at last year’s deadline, is 13-17-2 in 33 games with the Rochester Americans this season, with a 3.07 GAA and .898 save%" Should be a real doozie of a game. Just how will anybody be able to get through this day and wait until that 9 p.m. puck drop? The anticipation is killing me.

Unfortunately, we can't set the date in our calender and throw a giant rager the day Leino is scheduled to not be a Sabre anymore because the compliance buy out period begins 48 hours after the cup finals end. I really wish they would simply scratch him every night for the rest of the season or better yet, send him down to Rochester. I'm not sure if that would effect the cap floor though.
